To the men and women of the United States military thank you so much for all our freedoms and putting yourselves in harms way every day and to see these ships running so smoothly is not a easy task but it's your professional team work makes it real
I was on IKE from 1987 to 1991. ET2 Packard OER division, oe09 Ships Inertial Navigation System, (SINS). I had a lot of fun. There were plenty of times when it was not fun. Going through the Suez Canal for Desert Shield was great. If you were onboard with me look me up.
Well I think we need to resolve this problem once and for all, they need to stop taking out our handkerchiefs and taking the next step. solve this problem, they only know one way
The US military has got to come up with a reliable and inexpensive way to shoot down all these drones. Both at sea or over a battlefield. Using million dollar missiles or even 100,000 missiles is not the way to go. Perhaps lasers.
The US have these fleets floating around. They have defence contractors manufacturing arms 24/7. As apposed to this stuff becoming outdated or redundant they create proxy wars. This props up the share marketplace and strengthens the dollar. Houthis were just a bunch of goat herders a few years back. Macro economics at play. Why aren't sending a fleet into the Black sea?
You do understand that shipping and global trade are part of what fuels the economy to afford our huge fleets and missiles. You do understand that it is far more cost-effective to launch millions of dollars in ordinance, rather than losing billions in lost trade or longer shipping routes around Africa. So actually it IS cost-effective for the US to do this and it is a show of force to deter Iran and others from doing the same because some people like you believe it is not cost-effective. The price of a missile is far more than a drone yes. But you really have a narrow field of view if that is the entirety of your argument and you do not see the cost effectiveness of protecting global trade. Billions in global trade? Or MIllions in Ordinance to protect it? Hmmm, which is more cost-effective now?
I'm pretty sure "Ike" and crew isn't the least intimidated....I served on this great ship for 6 years of my career.
Thanks for the comment

The defense part makes me proud but where's the ATTACK part?

Dieses Schiff wäre bei mir schon längst dort wo es hingehört auf dem Boden des Meeres !!
Funny, there are moments when this video reminds me of the Imperial Fleet from Star Wars. hahaha

If a carrier is sinking, all jet fighter would be like take off take off now now now
A sinking carrier has no wind across the deck to launch.
@@mikesmith5128 interesting😮
Hi US I love you
Several shots of carriers that were not the Ike.
What happens when the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower ran out of anti drone missiles?
They won't
Go home😂
@@BigNr3d Your right, they won't run out of anti drone missiles if they won't use it.
The battle group has plenty
They also fire houthis.

Ótima resposta a esses terroristas
Not cost effective fighting cheap drones. US should do like the rest of the world and ditch the Red Sea. It's not winnable.

Drones & missiles won't get near it. Can't say I saw any heroics or stunning strategy. Maybe I should get my eyes tested.😀
Is it still floating or.at.the bottom.of rhe sea now? Just asking for the houthis😂
