I just bought one. Keep making the videos. This ticks a lot of boxes for me across all kinds of needs: ease of tone creation, fiddlelability, professional outputs for a multitude of purposes, studio use, rehearsal use, gigging and … traveling to gigs by plane and keeping your costs down in doing so. And more.
Please keep making the QC videos. They’re really helpful. I’ve been struggling to get tones that don’t sound dark, bass heavy and muddy and these videos are great. Thanks.
My QC is slated to arrive today or tomorrow. Can't wait to jump into it. Already saving your QC vids to a RUclips folder. I know they will give me a leg up. Thank you.
These QC setup videos are really interesting. I learn something every time. Keep them up, they’ll get more views as the market penetration of the device increases.
sick. loved the bon iver-like backwards loop at the end plz put this on the cloud! and keep these videos coming -- this is super super helpful for people like me without any modeler experience !
On the subject of cleans... I have found that Cab switching rather than amp switching is getting me great results in the Helix. The cab change as well as Mic and low/high cut changes really help.
I'm in the same boat here as some with my QC in the mail, fully second the more vid comments! Please keep them coming, you do such a great job with these and I love your playing! I'm also curious if you have heard any murmurings about updates coming from NDSP? Seems like it's been a long time since they have released anything and I have to imagine they want to keep the platform moving forward. Maybe more stomps and amps on the way?
Try flipping the phase on one of the cabinets - the Lone Star and Deluxe may be out of phase. Also, on the Lone Star, turn the master up to avoid preamp clipping, and to keep the gain down so the bright cap on that gain control has more effect.
One question please; why didn't you need to add a speaker cab to row 3? (I'm still learning about the signal path, so this confused me a bit) - thanks for making the vid 👍🏻
John, i really appreciate and enjoy all your videos. But i always wished that someday you would look into the Tim miller guitar tone. Now im taking a chance by actually commenting. Great tutorial as always.
I recently got a QC and while it is amazing I am struggling to create truly clean sounds without a hint of distortion, they must have assumed their customer base was mainly metal heads.
Hey Graham! I feel you on that. I guess the Roland Jazz Chorus might be the safest bet for truly clean. On Amps like the Deluxe Reverb for example in the QC, there is breakup with the Volume surprisingly low (I don't think it'd be that easy for Dverb to break up?)
So immediately my questions are "why" you pick the amp/cab/mic combo you picked here. You don't explain why you picked the Ribbon 10 mic, for example. Why pick that cab? The basics for any clean tone are these components, but if the goal is to find a good clean tone, you want to know what these options are. Before the boost, before the EQ, before the chorus and delays, why are those mics on that cab what you picked?

Thank you John, just what I was looking for. New to QC and all the help is appreciated.
I’m really grateful for the QC content. Has helped me learn my way around it and dial in some great stuff!
Thanks once more John’ keep sharing your knowledge
Thank you John. I liked how you put this together ... I have not thought of theatre track for the ambient delays... Please more QC videos. Thank you
So inspirational, I’m totally gonna put that ambient pitch delay in my bottom row
Nice sounds, thanks!
Damn John- you're making me wanna buy a QC!!

Please keep making these! I have this and a helix and I love to see the differences in what they can do. By the way, I love them both. And, you rock!

Suena muy muy bien
I've just got one and really need help with the cleans too!
Get a QC again please, for all us QC guys who follow you!
You can double tap a block to turn it on or off too.
Sick tone. Please upload to the cloud. Thanks!

Dynamite with a laser beam
Just been to your site but there are no QC presets available?

If you had to choose just one to record your videos, the one that sounds the best for you: Quad Cortex, Fractal, Helix, Kemper, ... Which would it be?

@@johnnathancordy How are you actually using it at home, are you playing it through an amplifier?
