How lucky were the people of the Bible to be able to eat with, laugh with, hug and follow Jesus. To be able to actually hear him speak ❤ But the pain they went through to see him suffer so much in the end.

@@lijinsp007That stuff doesn’t matter. Jesus matters. If it is people holding you back, either take them with you to Jesus or leave them behind. Sin is finite but the salvation we get from Jesus is eternal.
Also, I will pray for you, but God gives us free will. You have to be willing to get out of the obstacles.
Jesus Is with you He is not against you and He will make a way. Put your trust in Him He loves you so very much. Turn away from all evil and live for Christ He is coming soon. You are amazing now spread His gospel. You have a very compassionate heart give Him all glory and honor.❤️✝️Praise Jesus through all situations.

I was born ina Christian family, but never really followed Jesus until my 19th year. That's when I really had an encouter with Jesus. Was at a club to celebrate a friend's birthday, when I heard the Lord say "Didn't I tell you to stop going to such places? (And yes, He did tell me before but I was too stubborn) Let Me show you why." The things I saw in the spirit... i can't even begin to tell, it would take me hours 😅
Long story short, I ran back home, straight to my room, locked the door, put on some worship music and started crying, asking Jesus to forgive me. I said I'd give myself fully to Him if He deemed me worthy to serve Him. And He said, "If only you knew how much I love you." Those words, that kindness, that love... I'll never forget that moment until my last breath.
So yeah. That was almost 16 years ago, and until now, I never turned back. Jesus is so amazing, God is so amazing, I can't imagine my life without Him ❤
I cry every time I watch this episode of the Chosen. He made the best decision of his life.

I love the look on Gaius’s face so much. That look of confusion, like “what on earth could make you throw away what you have?” And the conviction in Matthew’s face, like “it’s not enough and it will never be enough if I don’t follow Him”.

I’m curious, do you also consider dolls and toys to be graven images? Because those are closer to the Bible’s definition of an idol than an actor trying his best to portray Jesus to a generation that often has no idea who Jesus is. Yes, this is not what Jesus looked like, but there’s no way we could possibly have one image of what He looked like that is the same for everyone. Everyone has their own idea of what Jesus looks like, and The Chosen tries to help some people who’ve never heard of Him have an idea of who He is. No one expects this actor to look exactly like Jesus.

Not too long ago my dad taught me that I must leave my old life behind in order to live freely with God in my heart. I feel the difference and its amazing! Praise the Lord!

One of my favorite scenes. This actor is great as Matthew. He keeps track of everything, writes it all down through the series where he is present. Thus, the Book of Matthew.

We all find ourselves asking the savior the same thing, and when we don't watch ourselves we act like Simon. Such a great scene that shows us how we should act in both cases

@@elanabethfariss117 When we feel the Lord asking us to follow him we ask if he really means me, if he really wants me to follow him. Am I worthy to be one that travels with him, learning from him, etc.
That commitment alone, made him the first man to write the Gospel. There is so much commitment to God can do to us as we yield to him. Let's yield more brethren.
It's believed Mark is actually the first Gospel, Matthew is just the first listed. It's similar to how, in the Old Testament, Job was the first written, but Genesis is the first to appear.
First one was Mark, Matthew was 2nd
Mathew comes first in the physical Bible but Mark was written first historically. Either way, it is heavily symbolic and significant. It is one of those dumfounding passages. It is just so alarming how out of nowhere Jesus appears and says 'follow me' and Mathew is like 'okay'.

Yeah most people acknowledge that this isn’t what Jesus actually looked like.
Some are deceived yes but we don’t worship the image.
The show is here just to give a visual representation of the Gospel.

This sets the tone perfectly with how things would've played out when Jesus was calling his 12. The call to the unlikely and rejected of society. We needed to see this.
He knows US by name, he KNEW us before we were born, and he knows EVERY thought that enters our minds, for he is our LORD and Jesus will be on Earth again! ✝️🛐
God changed my life similarly to this. I was doing good with money, my dad would give me cars, and I always had a young beautiful lady by my side. I gave it all up to follow Jesus and He has transformed me and my family, I get to spend quality time with them, and I love my life now because I get to serve an AMAZING GOD, hallelujah God is good ❤🙌🏽

I thought it was fascinating that they portrayed Matthew as being on the autism spectrum. I'd never considered it before (it's a little difficult to tell these things through layers of translation) but it makes sense when i reread his book. This scene really resonates with me - even socially impaired people like Matthew can add value to a group and are deserving of Jesus' love.

One of the most beautiful moments ( out of so many beautiful moments) in The Chosen I love how shocked Matthew was to be called, who of us is actually worthy to be called? None of us! Yet Jesus says “yes you, follow me” oh thank you Jesus I love you 🥰

I never thought for a second what would come- it was a knee jerk reaction. I was laughed at by every friend, but one.
I’m 70 yrs old now. I still am close with the friend who understood . It has been a deep very fulfilling life. God is beyond definition.

I love "The Chosen" and how the script was written and acted out in a way that's relatable and understandable, even if it's more modern in language or dialect than they used in the time. The scenes draw me in like I'm there as a witness.

My heart so wishes I could have been one of them that was given such an honor to be able to follow Jesus and sit with Him in person.. God willing one day I will. ❤
Back in May of 2015 I was miserable, and begged the Lord one night to take me Home…instead, He had something better in mind for me, and I am now a proud saved child of His, and couldn’t be happier. Yes, I still struggle with what brought me to the brink of suicide back then, but that struggle is far easier with Him and his Father at my side. Amen Hallelujah! 🙏🏻♥️

This is such a poignant and beautiful scene it brings tears to my eyes every time. It’s so meaningful and just portrays how Jesus knows us. He knows what we’ve done and yet he’s willing to accept us with open arms and asks us to follow HIM!

The chosen is the best series that talks about the life of Christ together with the lives of the disciples before they met him. The chosen is unlike any other Jesus' film cus it doesn't focus only on the life of Jesus....It focuses on other people's lives before and after their interaction with Christ. It's a complete and broader version of Jesus' life and His ministry. The chosen is unmatched

This is one of my a favorite scenes for many reasons: one of which is the “yes” that answered both Matthew and Simon’s question at the same time😊. But also it reminds of that we are called to leave everything we have and hold as valuable….to gain the greatest gift of all…Salvation.
