That station used the callsign "Sky King" but the traffic was not a classic "SKYKING" message, as in... "SKYKING SKYKING do not answer. Message follows. FIGHT CLUB. Authentication FOXTROT UNIFORM"
The format of what we've typically referred to as "SKYKING messages" has had some changes over the years, the format you've identified is, I would assume, the most recent one and still in effect. Honestly, I don't think it's 'correct' to refer to what I've broadcast here as a "SKYKING message" since we have always heard those as messages using a particular callsign AND format. Regardless of the callsign being used, this format is one of a couple of which I've been personally referring to as 'SKYMASTER messages'. Nonetheless, it's an interesting recording because it challenges some running assumptions about what 'SKYKING' means, how it's used, etc. I don't believe anyone has ever heard SKYKING used like this before. It's quite odd
My personal view is that this means less about SKYKING than we used to know. The general assumption online was that SKYKING was a specific message format and the callsign was only used for that format. With this message, SKYKING used a different format, and SKYMASTER even answered it later (instead of "do not answer" which we used to hear SKYKING always say
Um they did exactly that later 😳 Repeated the messages 3x and some even more than that. Getting them hot and ready for worldwide delivery in 30 minutes or less... or the next one's free. 💀
Basically the guy sending has a book the guy at the other end has a book ,the guy sending reads the code from the book ,the code has a meaning .The guy at the receiving end matches the code to what's being sent and now has the message ie for example YDBF547 = Fly to coordinates bla bla bla .Only the sender and receiver have the code books.
There is only one SkyKIng! RIP
6 messeges in 1 hour todzy
This is worrysome... how ioften do they do skyking drills ?

@@neetintel wow. Thank you for such a a great response. There is a lot to learn here. Extremely interesting, thank you ☺️
So this is intra military messaging ? Aka war games ? Does anyone outside of military intel know what he's talking about?
Double Rainbow.
@neetintel Skymaster that had stop being used and has now been reintroduced pertains to a group of nuclear forces.
