Bon Jovie was definitely an "80,s hair band" and this reaction shows their music stands the test of time. so so good seeing you smiling and enjoying yourself. ❤
@@cathysmith2941 music, NEW MUSIC doesn't really excited me these days, so much recycling and unoriginal stuff, and so many additives/ technology to change voices, etc. I don't listen to much NEW RELEASED MUSIC unless it's a band I like and have been around awhile
I love watching your reactions. I am 51 years old so i grew up in the 80's. I love all kinds of music but i think the 80's was the best. I am also sending you love, health and happiness.
One of my favorite things in life is watching people sing this in public as a group. I saw one where a guy in a park started the "We gotta hold on..." part and then when the beat dropped, like 50 people started singing with him lmao It was great
Bon Jovi has so many great songs this one being one of them. And it's good to see the success that this song continues to have. I know it's made a return to the charts since it's first time and it has hit over 1 billion views on yt.
1984 on highway near San Diego heading to work listening to this full blast 3 in morning every day, just east Camp Pendleton. My 1979 280ZX going 100 mph, Living on a prayer"
My hubby had a 1974 280ZX! In 1994/1995. That. Was a Fun/Dangerous car to drive! No cruise control. You had to keep a close eye on that speedometer it just went! We're both still sad he wrecked it going up the Canyon to ski at Snowbird. He went from a Z to a 1974 International Scout II. Which You could drive in the snow. Lol ❤
Thank you for the request Kathy and Rick for doing it. Rick, yes it was a hit....30+ years ago 😂. I have always felt the tone of the music didn't match the lyrics, the lyrics always felt somber, while the music was upbeat. My favorite line in the song is "You live for the fight when that's all that you got"
I remember when this song came out. Everyone knew it was an instant hit. I love songs that build and you can feel from the beginning intro the excitement building. The chorus hits you hard and makes you scream the lyrics! The song continues and right when you think the building of the song can not get any bigger there is a key change for the final chorus that blows your mind! We played this song in pep band and for first trumpet they were the highest notes I have ever tried to hit!
All of the hair back then was real, for sure!! But of course they used hair spary to get it really, really big. Many of us were doing the same back then, I always had hair spray, lol!!
I grew up in the 70s and 80s and we had the best music! This song is epic! Check out their song “Never Say Goodbye”. A more nostalgic, slower song but also amazing! Hope you are doing well ❤
Ty Kathy! You always make the best music requests! They are usually favorites I grew up listening to. I think our playlists must be very similar 😂 Also sorry if I misspelled your name, not sure which variation you use.
Thanks I've always liked bon jovi they were killer back in the day...I spell my name cathy with c instead of a k buy no worries if you spell it wrong ... We had bad storms here last night and our area could be out of power for a few days ..so keep me in prayers that it comes back on soon
@Cathy Smith Earlier this week here in southeast Georgia, we had a power outage for a few hours and had some transformers exploded. My internet cable got melted. I missed 2 days of work because of the internet part, but I'm back today. Hope they fix yours soon, too!
Back in the 80’s most of us rockers wanted “big hair” so probably most of the rock videos from that era that you’d see, it would most likely be their real hair….. anyway, my first time enjoying your reaction, keep it going 😊
I love bon Jovi. Since I first heard them at twelve years old. I have seventeen albums. Stanley John can't hit those high notes anymore so he lets the audience sing the high part
Can't listen to Bon Jovi without the uncontrollable urge to sing at the top of my lungs!
Bon Jovie was definitely an "80,s hair band" and this reaction shows their music stands the test of time. so so good seeing you smiling and enjoying yourself. ❤
In 2013 Living on a prayer was certified triple platinum. It was released in 1986
Yup. The hair is real. That's why groups like Bon Jovi were called Hair Bands.
i loveee bon jovi!! i was always screaming to his songs since i was young and could not help myself
Yes!!! It sure was and still is a hit. It spent 4 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 , 1987
“It’s My Life” is another great anthem song from Bon Jovi-then again they have a ton of great songs.

My husband and I used to bang like that, in Davinci's Pizza, when that one came on the soundtrack in the mid- '80s.
All of the hair back then was real, for sure!! But of course they used hair spary to get it really, really big. Many of us were doing the same back then, I always had hair spray, lol!!
