- I'm SOOOOO excited to unbox and show you the Fister Mufflers from FD Motorsports. If you're on a budget but you want a million dollar sound from your Porsche 911, the Fister Mufflers is the mod choice for you. I had them on my Porsche 997 and they were my favorite feature, favorite mod by far!
In this video we preview our Fister mufflers, our Fister refinished OEM exhaust tips, Fuchs-style wheels, our Duck Tail spoiler and a few other goodies.

James the parts look AWWWWWWWESOME!!! Two items for you guys. First, I didn't mention in my video that I installed the 3rd radiator option which is good for tracking the car. The water temp never moves above 194 now and oil temp is about 10-15 degrees lower. Not sure if that's an option for you guys. Second, I just installed Michelin pilot sport cup 4S tires before my last track day a few weeks ago and OMG I was hitting 1.2 g's and holding in the turns. Glue I tell ya glue!!!!!! Can't wait to see all the parts on 🙌

Guys the rims look great. Don't forget to make sure the point on the Porsche Emblem rim insert is pointed at the valve stem. Keep the videos coming and i can't wait to hear the Fister system.
Project 996 is in full effect! Love the deep dish on the rims, can’t wait to see the progress - paint colour, hmm, a epic dark green would look spectacular on the 996! I hope that colour is in the runnings!

i had Fister mufflers on my 997.2 C2S, and I couldn't agree more.. they radically transform the sound. The ceramic coating option also made a noticeable difference in heat management. Once the new ones were on, I shipped the original ones that were removed back to Darren. Perfectly seamless

I'm really liking the styling decisions so far. This would be my preferred direction for the 996. I'll likely do similar with my Boxster when I get it in the near future (minus ducktail of course)

So my car came modded with fab speed exhaust... Which can get a little loud in my neighborhood... so was thinking about doing the soul performance valved units but was curious of the difference between those and Fister's and which do you prefer?
That’s a great question!! It’s difficult to answer because the Fister mufflers and Soul valved exhaust systems are very different propositions to one another. They function differently, the sound differently and they perform differently. It’s almost like comparing apples and oranges. I would say if you love the stock exhaust note of the 911 but you want a deeper, slightly fuller tone, go with the Fister. If you want the sound of a performance sports car that rips between gear changes, gives you pops and crackles as you downshift and really gives you a thrill that sets the hair on the back of your neck stand on end - go with the Soul PP valved exhaust system. The Fister is like going out on a date with a supermodel. The Soul PP setup is like her taking you back to her place after dinner. 🤣🤩🔥🔥🔥
Those Fuchs-fakes look great. I'm very curious at their weight, though....
They're pretty light! Not as heavy as the OEM ones we removed.
Hi James what about Crayon white (current Porsche colour) with a Tag Monaco blue and orange thin stripe. Would look great with the wheels and duck tail.
I have a ducktail on mine that's the entire rear deck lid, and one of the vents is kind of broken. What's the company called that made this one? I want to see if i can find some replacement vents.

My vote for color would be Lago Green Metallic. It would look classy with those wheels. Plus, it’s a period correct color for that generation!

Auto Amateur please do! Check it out on rennbow. It gives a brief description of the color and its rarity.
Irish Green or British Racing Green would be a great color choice. Also be sure and get those wheel center caps pointed correctly :-)

Could you explain a little about the reasoning for the Fister Mufflers? Is it purely for the sound? And if so, would any model (996/997) benefit from them?
It's the sound essentially and the sound they create is AWESOME!!! Any 996 or 997, should benefit from them. Check with FD Motorsports for the correct fitment!

Thanks. That’s actually the one I’ve been looking at. I’ll wait and see how the installation goes for you 😬. Lee’s video about the CSR carbon fiber ducktail had me wondering about the fit on the less expensive ones. But if it works, I’m in!

By the time we are finished, I doubt we will make any money on this car. If we are lucky, we will cover all costs. If we do have any extra money at the end of it we are thinking about a project with a 993 or 997.
Auto Amateur Why don’t you sell tickets and raffle the car, donate some of the money and use the rest to restore the 993?, just saying!

BTW, LA Dismantlers are the worst for saving money~~ I've had several dealings with them. They want more or equal to than OEM products. .Buy OEM Porsche parts .Don't buy from these guys!
