I don't normally like cocky athletes, but he does it so nonchalantly and not so seriously/not at anyone else's expense and seems like a good energy to be around. I'm also not a huge sport media guy. I like watching the sports, but generally the actual people ain't my people.
It works if you have an underlying sense of humor about it and also if can back it up. Hes got both so it works.
Because he is confident not cocky, cocky people are selfish and it’s easy to read them they also tend to overestimate themselves, he’s just really talented and has a lot of potential and recognizes that but he doesn’t act like the greatest even if he might be which is humble and makes ppl like him. Now go watch a interview of dk metcalf I like dk but his personality is very cocky he overestimates himself often and it’s not humble and he gets tiring to watch so I tend to not watch anything he’s in if he’s not in a football uniform because it’s usually some big ego bs coming out his mouth.

He's definitely turned my perception around on who he is as a person. Keep moving in the right direction.

@@_Conrad_ he broke the kid's arm too when he was very young. I love so many athletes and can look passed a lot, understanding that at the end of the day we are all human. I've never been able to reconcile his actions or what he did, though. One of my least favorite people in sports due to that but if he can prove that he can better himself then I'm all for it. You can't change your past but you can get help and change your future. We should support athletes and the faces of the things we love getting better and proving to not only the fans but themselves that they can be good people.
