With that engine it might be a good idea to look at a deeper oil pan or dry sump. Motorbike engines are not designed for lateral loads like a car experiences during cornering, and can drop oil pressure due to the oil sloshing to the side and exposing the pick-up.

Suzuki GB sold a van (and flat-back truck) since 1979 called the Suzuki ST80. In Japan it was previously sold as the Suzuki Carry. It had a mid-engine laying on its side beneath a removable cover in the load area.
Sales were good but by the mid 80s, the Uk's Japanese import quota was restricting its sales. Suzuki did a deal with the old Bedford company (by then renamed IBC - for Isuzu Bedford Commercial) to build Suzuki’s latest version in their British factory in Luton. The idea was that both Bedford and Suzuki would sell unlimited numbers of the new commercials in the UK. The Bedford was sold as the Rascal and the Suzuki as the Supercarry.
They were both launched around 1987 and apart from badges and paint colours, were identical. Suzuki sold two colours that I called 'Ministry of Defence Beige' and 'Filing Cabinet Green'. All the popular colours like White, Red and Blue (plus others) were sold as Rascals.
Their identical engines were Japanese-built 800cc capacity naturally aspirated 4 cylinder 4 strokes. They produced 37 bhp at 5,500 rpm.
    They were vans, after all.
Suzuki GB advertised them as having 'Back doors for side streets: side doors for back streets'.
Such was their unladen weight distribution that emergency braking caused 'stoppies'. A full forward roll was only stopped when the front bumper hit the road with the van at about 45 degrees.
    Great fun to drive.

@@denishenriques9977 Yep I had a Rascal pickup and two Bambi Rascal Motorhomes (a wooden cabin on a pickup) and they were all 1 litre Suzuki engines. In fact, I dropped and rebuilt one of them - that was fun jacking the vehicle on one side so it lurched over enough to slide the engine from underneath on a sheet of plywood! The SuperCarry with the 1.3l engine was completely different and you couldn't put the 1.3 in place of a 1.0, hence why some people resorted to large motorbike engines. We travelled 3000 miles around France in our 1 litre motorhome - not a campervan - a Bambi motorhome with considerable weight when central France was hotter than Tehran. She ran too hot for my liking and sitting on top of the engine was like being in a sauna but she never skipped a beat! Great times!

How did I miss this one? Calvin, you crack me up, for such a nervous passenger you still got in it at least and loved the way you had the window down slightly to enable you to hang on. You had a look of 'terror of the unknown' on your face. Top bloke for giving your time. This is what motoring is all about, the unusual and the diverse interests of people and what they do in terms of motoring. Big thanks.

That engine has 97bhp unless it's highly tuned, and has about the same torque as the original engine, but it sounds fast which I guess is a good thing for holding onto your license.

Epic van, may it live for many years to come! 😎
So funny seeing how uncomfortable being sat there was making you feel, brought back memories, cheers 🤭.
I had the exact same expression and was reaching for a handle when a passenger in one many moons ago, and I'm a bad passenger too 😉
My friends van was standard and I felt it would tip in any direction at any second, especailly in high winds, and the non existent space inside made me feel totally unprotected, if not in more danger than would if on a motorbike lol.
Its like being an elephant trapped inside a bake bean tin!
A white knuckle roller coaster for sure, I can see why its so fun hahaha.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, it's the Little Blue Buzzbox coming down the road at you! What a fun looking little automotive bundle of joy! This would be great in the inner city for making deliveries since it's small enough to navigate and park on, crowded streets. This might be a market for builders to capitalize on...
