Great list. Reach is not only an amazing tool (I can't keep up with how fast new features are added) but the developer Frédéric is an awesome human who is always willing to help out & share ideas.
There is no alternative. :/ Maybe try ArcGis for Adobe, but I've never done this workflow. You'd have to incorporate Illustrator as well. OR just do everything manually via FreeVectorMaps and After Effects + Illustrator.
I always end up buying those "collection" scripts and extensions but for me they actually have too many functions so I always forget what features they have and end up never actually using any of them even though they might be helpful 😅
Do you know if there's PLUGIN like Runway's INPAINT? Basically paint stuff out with auto tracking without clicking a million times on the mask. Thanks a million!
I have many plugins and scripts that I don't use, I've even forgotten what others do. Thanks for the video though, time to expand my unused plugins library
Hey, Just started with After effects and with the help of your tutorials I already made some cool animations. But for mapping, covering military campaigns, moving borders and historical battlefields it looks to me that geolayers 3 is the only option to make that. But as you might expect its way to expensive. Are there any other ways of doing these things?
You could try just using FreeVectorMaps and then jump between Illustrator and After Effects. But you just won't have all of the georeferencing power of GEOlayers.
Welcome to the world of After Effects. The great thing you'll learn is there's a million ways to achieve whatever effect you want. There's not really a "wrong answer" for how to approach something. Often these plugins are just a shortcut to make certain tasks easier and less tedious, especially if it's something you find yourself doing often. So plugins like that are totally worth the money to save you time (and therefore money) in the long run if you're working professionally. However, don't feel like you HAVE to buy expensive plugins to be able to do things. There are plenty of tutorials all over youtube on map animations and all sorts of other things. I've found often I will look up tutorials on specific effects I'm trying to achieve for one project and put those different pieces together to get the final product I want. Theres no 1 tutorial or 1 plugin that will solve all of your problems. Anyways, this turned out to be a bit of a long rambling comment, but my point is, don't let expensive plugins discourage you. There's always a way to achieve what you want, and it might take a bit of time but the more you learn, the more you'll be able to assess a project and think of the different ways of achieving what you're looking for, and figure out best method for you in that specific situation, whether or not you use plugins to help you along the way. Hopefully that made sense xD
No I don't use all of these, as that would be quite redundant. This is a list of plugins that are new or received big updates within the last year. Here's a list of the ones I use regularly - ruclips.net/video/tIBpanu7zt8/видео.html
I only own 3 of these? For shame. Always Overlord or anything from Battleaxe should be in there. But thank you for the list! Will refill my wishlist. :)
These are great ! Quick side question. Could you refer me to one of your videos were one can export just a single country without oceans nor surrounding countries using GeoLauers 3 please. Thanks.
I don't know if I have a video about that specific technique. But you can turn off the imagery for the Mapcomp, and then you'll just see whatever shape layers you draw out. The imagery view is found in the mapcomp settings.
@@BooneLovesVideo Hi Boone, sorry can you elaborate on the "mapcomp settings" and its locaiton? I"m going crazy looking for it and google numerous pages and can't seem to find it. Lastly on another note, will Skew work along with Geolayers3 layers? thanks
You miss various MORE ESSENTIAL scripts and plugs than presented in the video. Just a couple, Overlord and Noodle but the list is more length. .... or they not pay to you.
The tools. What did I miss? Do you have favorite?

I believe it! I've never met a developer that isn't an awesome human. They are the best. 🔥
Brandon, you might be right about Brandon but Boone is awesome too!
Thanks for the shoutout Boone!
Thank you, kind sir. 😎
Hello Boone Sir, what is the alternative of Geolayers 3 ??
There is no alternative. :/
Maybe try ArcGis for Adobe, but I've never done this workflow. You'd have to incorporate Illustrator as well.
OR just do everything manually via FreeVectorMaps and After Effects + Illustrator.
Wow, I really have to start using After Effects more. I fell behind :D Thanks Jason!
Piotr! Dang I love your new abbreviated YT handle.
What a great gift is this!! Thanks a million.
For sure. 🙏
Thank you so much for sharing there! I can't believe I've never heard of reach...
No problem! Thank the creators of these tools.
Thanks for the shout out for Loopy! It's definitely in some impressive company in this list.
I love looping.
Your videos helped me make the maps on my videos! Looking forward to seeing more of you in 2023 😘
Super happy to hear that! Thanks for the nice comment.
Motion 4 is great!!
Thank you so much bro, your tutorial worked, keep going!!!
Thanks!
Thanks🎉
You're welcome. :)
My goodness, I'm like a kid at a candy store! I want all of them 🤣🤣Thank you for this list.
You are so welcome!
I always end up buying those "collection" scripts and extensions but for me they actually have too many functions so I always forget what features they have and end up never actually using any of them even though they might be helpful 😅
Yeah I feel like for some you have to make an effort to use them at first, and then it becomes muscle memory and ends up saving a ton of time.
Ya I agree. Plus there's a lot of overlap with a lot of them and it makes it hard to know which one to choose to use most
Just like everyone else
Amazing list!
Glad you think so!
+1 for Texture Looper.
Boom boom.
Just bought Loopy because of this video. Thanks!
Very cool!
what would be the best ones to get? or should i get all of them?
Definitely don't get all of them, as many do the same thing. It depends on what you need.
@@BooneLovesVideo i do like the simple edits, like fade outs, text overlay, motion blurs, velocitys but mainly like a few clips if that made sense
Thanks
You're welcome!
didnt knew Loopy before, simple but handy!
Should I get Mobar or Kbar? thy look the same to me!
They are VERY different. Definitely have a closer look.
Can you have plugins from different years in After Effects 2023?
I just watched and bought most used plugins 2022 yet and now I should buy new ones for 2023. Check and mate.
hahahaha
Do you know if there's PLUGIN like Runway's INPAINT? Basically paint stuff out with auto tracking without clicking a million times on the mask. Thanks a million!
Say whhhaaaaaa
hey mate can you help with a guide or something on how to make the 3D overview at 4:16 please? thank you loved it
The creators of the Reach plugin put that promo video together. It's a beauty isn't it.
I was going to ask the same question. We should find a tutorial or smth, it looks real nice!
I have many plugins and scripts that I don't use, I've even forgotten what others do. Thanks for the video though, time to expand my unused plugins library
Same here. I get excited about a plugin, I buy it, then forget about it 😂. I think its because if the time it takes to learn how to use them.
thanks!!
You're welcome!

I have needed something like faux parent for so long
Let me know how you like it! 🐉

nice but if jay is king of after effects tutorials, Andrew kramer is the god of after effects 😉
I came here for 3:58
💯
Just wanna tell you the promo code is neither working in Aescripts nor in Gumroad.
That promo code only works for Mt Mograph products.
@@BooneLovesVideo Oh! I see. Too bad I already have their three plugins already 🥲
haha, for real. And yeah sorry, I don't have discount codes for any others on this list.

This list is mainly focusing on new or updated plugins from the previous year. And I actually do get paid for Overlord and Noodle sales. :)
