    Ok, this is absolutely the greatest video explaining a regular A/C system including both the components and the physics behind them. The diagram at 0:36 paints simultaneously and intuitively the pressure, the temperature and the refrigerant phase throughout the entire system. This diagram is brilliant! The example of pressures and temperatures at 3:44 is also very informative. I am not a HVAC technician but I am into physics and was looking for detailed physical explanations of what different components are and the transitions of the refrigerant between these components. Amazing teacher. Definitely subscribed!

    Thank you so much for your massive video collection an incredibly awesome book!. Would you consider a reversing valve replacement video? How do you flow nitrogen though all ports while brazing? Isnt one port closed during installation preventing nitrogen flow? I have not yet seen anyone flow nitrogen during replacement which has to be terrible for the system.

    • @mygripe
      @mygripe 2 года назад +1

      If you're replacing a txv and have Refrigerant in the system then PROPERLY pump the unit down. Then remove the Schrader valve to vent out the nitrogen. Nitrogen helps keep the copper lines free from soot on the inside which contaminates the system( you need a special regulator that holds a specific psi ment for brazing) nitrogen does not hurt the system when the unit is not on. NEVER TURN THE SYSTEM ON WITH NITROGEN IN IT.
