I teach Geography to UPSC students. I always keep updating myself with new concepts and the way of teaching. Students, whatever mam is teaching is a right approach. She is giving her 100℅. To make it more clear about young and old mountains. Here is an explanation- About 200 million years ago Continental drift occured. The mountains formed before the continental drift are called old mountains like Aravali (precambrian period) and the mountains formed after the drift are called young mountains like Himalayas. To understand things better do read "Geosyncline Orogen theory" by Leopold Kober. According to Mam the highest peak in eastern ghats is Mahendragiri (1501m). You will see the same thing in NCERT. But the highest peak is Jindhagada Peak also known as Arma Konda which is 1690m high. With due respect, Mam you are teaching exceptionally well. Thank you.
