You were an amazing priest, but most of all, one of my dearest friends in life. The family and I miss you very much, but we understand you are now present in the true home of Heaven. RIP idol.

Through all the years that he was alive, seeing him when he was just about 2 or 3 years old in Gumaca, I have learned that the much loved shy-type first sibling of my first cousin, Dr. Luther Baldeo has become a priest sometime in the 1980 up until he was serving the parish of Gumaca and thereafter, the seminary also in that area. He came to Texas and served the Lord in the San Antonio, Texas area but left again for the Philippines. On his second trip he was assigned here in Houston, Texas where he served the Filipino community for several years until Cardinal D Nardo appointed to work with seminarians at the St. Mary Seminary here in Houston, Texas too. But we were saddened by his untimely demise in December 24, 2017 when he succumbed to heart attack, his first. A diabetic person, Fr. Mar has been religiously taking his medicines, but the Lord Jesus Christ must have a specific task for Fr. Mar to undertake in the kingdom of Heaven and joined his parents, Ate Carmen, his mom, and Kuya Luther Baldeo. May the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ be with him and to his parents.

The Filipino community of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church thanks him for celebrating Simbang Gabi with us from 2013 to 2016. Rest in peace Fr. Mario.
