Loving the new updated clones and this has always been my favourite version of the helmet. Pity as you pointed out its oversized on this version would have been good to get a smaller non removeable helmet but I will definitely be getting one of these soon. Thanks as always Tim for the great review!
Looks great, Tim! I like that we can see cloud car pilot and ice cream maker dude back there on the shelves! Heresy, I know, but I think VC45 looks pretty good when I think about how those troopers looked in battle in AOTC. The skinny clone started looking really bad to me when they used him for phase 2 ARCs and commanders will big helmets and pauldrons. Quite the mismatch! Nice to see you cracking the open the latest wave!! 🎉
Good comparison video Tim. Must admit I’m a bit disappointed by the helmet on this one. Don’t like the oversized swappable feature, but even worse it seems to sit on the head too high, showing a lot of chin. Wish they hadn’t done this and now I’m wishing I’d not pre-ordered one instead of waiting for an army builder pack which will hopefully have the non-removable helmet. All that said, the cardback is glorious and I may just keep mine carded when he arrives. 👍
This is a nice upgrade except for the aforementioned helmet issue. Some how they mnaged to make it too big and still unable to fit properly without the chin being properly covered. Also, he needs a bit more neck. As for the body, it is much better, though I feel that the chest armor is a little too rotund looking. It gives him a beer belly.
I'd be stoked for this guy, if I hadn't just bought a four-pack of clones using the VC45 sculpt to add to all the other VC45s I had. As it is I don't have the energy to replace them all, VC45 is good enough for me. I don't mind replacing old figures but not ones I bought brand new a year or two ago
me don't no why they don't do VC45 four-pack agaim vc45 need repaints like phase 1 clone. from the clone wars do 501st and 212th 41st elite corps coruscant guard or clone pilot he need 2 helmets
There is a company called Ali Express, if only they had VC45 action figures with lots of repaints like 91st like they do it for 6 inch why not do 3.75 clone especially for price you are paying with they should do that with the order. me look for option with my figures. still like my idea about Haslab you can choose articulation WANT and don't want. let us choose figure we want on Haslab with are order. for me don't like rebels characters some of characters I like let me choose figure I want with the order. and let me switch it out for vc45 repaint or troopre

The bobble head effect is pretty bad. I will definitely be buying the new Phase 2 swap able helmet figures. Hopefully they do a Phase 1 rank colors multipack with swapable heads.
Something I don't like with the new clone trooper figures is the fact that the chin is exposed with the helmet on. I have the phase 2 clone and it just bugs me slightly that you can see his chin in the bit between the air filters. I think it needed just a little bit more plastic to cover the chin properly. I don't know why but I really like my figures to have removable helmets even if they are oversized. The other thing I don't like about the new clone is the DC-15 blaster rifle is too rubbery. It bends too much when trying to fit it in a 2 handed weapon grip so it just looks silly. Love the figure apart from the little niggles.
I’m proud for everyone that can and wants to army build this however as a collector of 20+ years and an army of +100 phase 1 clones from 15+ years ago with what I think is better plastics, despite lacking articulation, I’m just not compelled to army build these guys.. gona be the cheapest wave of collecting in forever.
I like the previous one better, I think it's more aesthetic and I think it's also more faithful to the clones seen in the movie which are cgi and that's why they look thin.
We just need non-removable helmets for all standard clone troopers. The fact that you can see the chin underneath is disappointing. If they give this phase 1 troop a non removable helmet this would be a winner but until then VC 45 wins this battle.
Congratulations on the figure, I was waiting for this review, what if you put the helmet in boiling water so that it loosens a little and see if that way it fits more on the head 👍👈
Study the cardback image carefully. Does the figure look anything like that. NO it doesn't. Way oversized helmet it goes right over his shoulders, where is his neck? And the completely plain matte white looks cheap and not movie accurate the little dashes on his chestplate aren't even painted in. The cardback image is glorious! But I won't be opening any of these. Why can't Hasbro get Clones right but they can get Stormtroopers looking great and accurate???????

they also corrected the bottom of the boots to be gray and not black, great review
actually the black bottoms are correct for andor, the fbfx suit used in andor has black bottoms

Have a bunch of the sturdier blasters I will use in place of the crappy guns we’re getting with this figure.

Bc sadly most people only care about the phase 2 look and I'm on the opposite end on this. They didn't even try with this
I think I looks just as bad as the phase 2. Just make the swappable head. I don't know why they need removable helmets. They all look the same.

They really butchered the.helmet. the phase 2 helmet is actualy proportionate. What happend here??
