My sister got 221g n they said to complete the document n drop off n gave her passport back.Then with in a week she complete her documents.But now from last one month she is not getting appointment date to drop off the documents.
Hi I had my interview on 13 April 2022 Everything was good and officer asked my passport and asked me you are good to go. Just submit the documents they have asked for, this is strange though that they approved it first and then... anyways just provide the proofs and it will be processed soon, depending upon what documents they have asked for

I had an H1B visa interview on 30 September 2024 and was given a 221g slip in which administrative processing was ticked. Then on 10 October 2024, I emailed my employer from the US Consulate there and Earlier, the last update date in the status was 1 October 2024, but now it is 1 November 2024, but the status has not been changed, so how long will it take and when will the final process be completed?

@@maryammerchant3045 Hey, so if the Visa officer has taken your passport then don't worry about it. For others and for me personally, it took 3-4 days. It took my case 3 business days. Keep checking your status on the CEAC Tracker website. Day 1 shows 'refused', day2 shows 'Administrative Processing', and day3 shows 'Issued'. So all the best. PS: You will not get an email, you will have to check the status yourself.

Hi Roopjeet, I had my H1B interview on 10th May 2023 in New Delhi. The counselor has given me yellow slip . In that it's regarding 221g and in that slip no where it is mentioned the list of documents need to submit. The passport is with the counselor only and in the current passport she is mentioned as admin processing. She had a word with me, I have to review and check with superior officers. In the visa status it is showing as Refused . In my case how long it may take and can you please advise me to proceed further. How can I share the yellow slip which the counselor has given to me. This means they have looked into all the details they wanted to, but visa is not approved yet unless they have emailed you that your visa is approved, most probably you are good if they asked for the passport though. It depends in 221G cases how long they take though
Hi ! Even if they ask to submit passport. They might or may not approve visa . If they approve visa all good.. if not they ll send back passport with 241 g rejection . Wait until they send you an email. I also got 221g and submitted additional documents and passport together 3 days back . When I asked ,VAC employee what's next, she said due to pandemic and lockdown processing time changed. Kindly, wait for a month.
I got a green letter 221g. There is no reason for me. It says no action required from your side, it is currently in administrative processing and we will contact you. I am sure if anyone else has got such notification ? Looks like no other option for me as of now expect to wait.

Hello Maam My interview was done and asked to wait in lobby and other consular asked to come in a room for more questions, after that they took my passport and exp certificate along with bank statement. Very next day i got an email to collect your passport i visited and pickup the passport when i checked all the pages i could not found anything. No notice were issued to me, When i check the status at CEAC its shows that its *Refused*. What would be my case as i did not receive any slip from consular.

Hi RoopJeet, I had an interview last week for an F1 visa here in Zambia and the consular said everything looks fine but they have to do further administrative processing. I had done my undergrad in the us before and have done the interview twice already, so this was my third time. Yesterday the status changed from refused to administrative processing. My parents also did the same interview and got approved, but their case status says the same thing. Does that mean my visa got approved? And how long do you think it'll take?
No this means they are processing your case and probably processing some documents or checking some history here n stuff. In cases where it shows administrative process no one can tell how long it will take. But good thing is they are processing. So good luck to you guys

Hi Mam, I had my interview on 26th March'24. I got pink letter(221g) and was informed by the Visa officer that within 3 to 4 weeks your processing will be done. Till 22nd April'24, Case lasted Updated date was changing for every 10 days. But now the Case last updated Date is also not changing. My status in ceac website is still refused. I was going for PhD (funded with Research Assistantship). My Master's GPA is 3.92. VO asked me no any serious questions. when they give you the document that you have got 221G, in that paper they have mentioned all about how to drop off 221G in detail, like dates and drop off instructions everything

@@tpams157 No you have already done your interview right, so medical and biometrics are all done, since you got the 221G just submit the documents they asked, then they will process your documents. Once they are satisfied with your documents they will ask for your passport for the visa stamp, then you will just pick the passport from the pickup location you have given them and you will be good to go. Hi Roopjeet, I received 221g last Friday with the reason stating due to presendential proclamation 10199 they are not approving the visa. Once this ban is lifted then I have to aubmit the passport in the nearest VAC. Do you have any idea on this process?

Yeah its been happening since a while, people are not able to get dates for the drop off, only thing we can do is keep trying

I had my H1B interview on 10th May 2023 in New Delhi. The counselor has given me yellow slip . In that it's regarding 221g and in that slip no where it is mentioned the list of documents need to submit.
The passport is with the counselor only and in the current passport she is mentioned as admin processing.
She had a word with me, I have to review and check with superior officers.
In the visa status it is showing as Refused .
In my case how long it may take and can you please advise me to proceed further.
How can I share the yellow slip which the counselor has given to me.

This means they have looked into all the details they wanted to, but visa is not approved yet unless they have emailed you that your visa is approved, most probably you are good if they asked for the passport though. It depends in 221G cases how long they take though
Hi ! Even if they ask to submit passport. They might or may not approve visa . If they approve visa all good.. if not they ll send back passport with 241 g rejection . Wait until they send you an email.
I also got 221g and submitted additional documents and passport together 3 days back . When I asked ,VAC employee what's next, she said due to pandemic and lockdown processing time changed. Kindly, wait for a month.

I got a green letter 221g. There is no reason for me. It says no action required from your side, it is currently in administrative processing and we will contact you. I am sure if anyone else has got such notification ? Looks like no other option for me as of now expect to wait.

I had my interview day before yesterday for F1 visa and the visa officer told me that everything seems to be fine but you should be on M1 visa rather than F1 because I was going for flight training and then she gave me a 221g stating that send us a new 120 with M1 visa and took my documents I sent them the 120 how long will the process takes?

Hello Ma'am, actually my brother was issued with 221G and after one and half month he got a mail from the US embassy stating him to send the passport by courier or directly,after 2 days he got 214b rejection and passport through courier....what may be the reason behind that...please let me know and also there are no slots available for him to apply again
Oh noooo, that means they have rejected his visa, counselor was expecting more for the proofs in documents probably, Your brother would have to reapply thats all I know, I would say ask some attorney cz this is kinda complicated to me now, I am so sorry, but I will look into and let you know more about it.

My interview was done and asked to wait in lobby and other consular asked to come in a room for more questions, after that they took my passport and exp certificate along with bank statement. Very next day i got an email to collect your passport i visited and pickup the passport when i checked all the pages i could not found anything. No notice were issued to me, When i check the status at CEAC its shows that its *Refused*. What would be my case as i did not receive any slip from consular.

Hi RoopJeet, I had an interview last week for an F1 visa here in Zambia and the consular said everything looks fine but they have to do further administrative processing. I had done my undergrad in the us before and have done the interview twice already, so this was my third time. Yesterday the status changed from refused to administrative processing. My parents also did the same interview and got approved, but their case status says the same thing. Does that mean my visa got approved? And how long do you think it'll take?
No this means they are processing your case and probably processing some documents or checking some history here n stuff. In cases where it shows administrative process no one can tell how long it will take. But good thing is they are processing. So good luck to you guys

My husband got 221g yellow slip with few checklist docs needs to be sent over email. Googled on this and found can be considered as rejeceted. 😔
Send those documents to them, this doesn't mean its rejected its just that they need to verify extra with required documents.

Till 22nd April'24, Case lasted Updated date was changing for every 10 days. But now the Case last updated Date is also not changing. Hi my interview was on 13 August 2021 they returned our passports with 221g F4 category after provide my all documents they mail me to send passports except one family member its almost two weeks and status show refused except one shows ready Q when we get back our passports and what ready mean at this point
They will take time to process but if they have your passport that means it won't take longer

Hi. I applied for F1 visa on June 7. They gave me pink slip 221(g) with tick mark in administrative processing. Subsequently they returned my passport on June 9. My status in ceac website is still refused. I was going for PhD (funded with Research Assistantship). My Master's GPA is 3.92. VO asked me no any serious questions. when they give you the document that you have got 221G, in that paper they have mentioned all about how to drop off 221G in detail, like dates and drop off instructions everything

@@tpams157 No you have already done your interview right, so medical and biometrics are all done, since you got the 221G just submit the documents they asked, then they will process your documents. Once they are satisfied with your documents they will ask for your passport for the visa stamp, then you will just pick the passport from the pickup location you have given them and you will be good to go. DI in ds260 form I told my mom is unemployed and no about education But now in questionnaire they ask me same question about job education and other questions about places the visit before . I had IR1 interview on 1st july 2022 and i got 221g white slip, it says:
My file is incomplete therefore they have refused my visa. Also they have kept my case in Administrative Processing. There is one line which says "Please be advised that for US visa purposes include ESTA the decision constitute a denial Visa"

221g white sheet I got from Chennai consulate that’s mentioned “You may appear alone after we have resumed regular operations “ can I appear any other consulates or embassy in India ? Thanks 🙏

I received 221g last Friday with the reason stating due to presendential proclamation 10199 they are not approving the visa. Once this ban is lifted then I have to aubmit the passport in the nearest VAC.
Do you have any idea on this process?
Yeah this was done due to Covid, don't worry its just precautionary ban

We got h1b 221g last year march 2020 due to covid situation embassy were closed after that...we are still waiting we don't know how long we have to wait ....what could we do now??

My interview was done and asked to wait in lobby and other consular asked to come in a room for more questions, after that they took my passport and exp certificate along with bank statement. Very next day i got an email to collect your passport i visited and pickup the passport when i checked all the pages i could not found anything. No notice were issued to me, When i check the status at CEAC its shows that its *Refused*. What would be my case as i did not receive any slip from consular..

I had interview in 10 June and the officer give a paper of 221g and chuck the passport by courier and I send it,
After 14 days the send me some questions by email and I answered,
But after 21 day the send my passport with a paper which mentions ur under 221g section when it complete returns ur passport to us....

What did they asked you to submit?
You have to look for open appointment slots on ustravrldocs.com. Unfortunately they get filled quickly

Hi, I was given a yellow slip because my school start date was the same day as my embassy appointment date,, the VO told me to speak to the school to change my start date then send them via email,, it's now two days after changing my date is there a possibility of getting rejected

Hi, i applied for j1 exchange visitor visa and i got this form too , rather everyone yesterday who went for for this same visa they got this form including the F1 visa applicants, they mentioned me that i qualify for the visa but sadly they can't iasue now because of the ongoing presidential proclamation from Apr 24 2021, and he wrote the same thing on that form, rather everyone yesterday got this form, I hope this doesn't results in refusal.
Whenever this visa will be open you will get it then, they must have explained in the email well that if they refused it for now or is it on hold?
