No to Low Prep Educational Activities

Three cheers to @chuckleandroar & @gloplay_usa for creating activities that help this no to low prep mom out!
I'm just not the mom that sets up pre-planned educational activities for my kids. I tried it with my first kid & I was always frustrated at how long they took to set up and then how little of time it kept them busy (which is why I now have the series testing Pinterest activities to see how long they actually keep your kids busy! )
Here's some tips for grading up & down with these:
Grade up (for older kids)👇🏻
•Water Proof Matching: add a time component, How long til they find all the matches. Can they beat that time? Can they think of something else that starts with the letter they matched?
•Spelling 🐝: Use all the cubes, use 5 letter words, hide the word and have the sound it out to spell without seeing it first, time component of racing against the clock or you
•@gloplay_usa Stickers: spell sight words, put them in alphabetical order, how many words can they make out of letters you give them? How many words can they spell in a minute?
•Chalk Water Tracing: write out site words, give them words to spell out, higher level math problems, paint out entire word before it dries
Grade down (for younger kids) 👇🏻
•Water Proof Matching: turn the cards face up, use half the amount of cards or only 1/3 amount to make it less overwhelming
•Spelling 🐝: use less cube, use only 3 letter words
•@gloplay_usa Letters: alphabetize them, fill in the blank missing letters (put them all up, but leave a few out), name practice
•Chalk Water Tracing: fill in the blank (leave letter missing out of the alphabet), simple math problems, no spelling, write out their name and have them trace that!
