Got mad respect for you bro... You are an incredible drummer but with strong anointing... Been watching all your vids and learning lots... Huge fan all the way from South Africa...
Was at a conference in England at the weekend that Free Chapel OC pastor Ben Prescott was speaking at, and he was telling us about this Easter Sunday service. Great to see some of what went on from behind the kit! Great job!
Sweet. IEM mix? The click running too holding it all together. I am the resident drummer in our church band. It is only small, so I use hotrods exclusively. It would be far too loud otherwise. In my other (rock orientated band) I use IEM's. I wish I could get as good a sound as yours. Mine is terrible. The keyboard player does it, but he hasn't got a clue so my monitor sound is always rubbish. Maybe I should go back to a wedge?
Layton Elscott cuz every musician in worship think they are Jazzer fusion technical player and the Churches is the place to showcase with built in audience already ;) Mega Churches Production at Best. Can you dig ? ;)
i know what you mean but i think it depends on the arrangement of the song overall. and often, songs are interpreted too soft and quiet in churches in my experience and loose their power. but still understand what you mean here. but in that huge audience playing, i think he hits the right tone. and don't forget that you allways hear the metronome that changes the feeling of the busyness, too
Edwin Guzman they’re probably using Abelton Live. You can buy the click/guide/tracks online and import them into Abelton or ProTools. Cool thing is you can set up MIDI to control lighting cues and even Pro Presenter slides.
Lenierx if only you were playing it would be the best... Hate when fellow musicians, specifically drummers, can't appreciate another players craft without being pointlessly critical. He plays how HE plays. If they didn't like it, he wouldn't be on the stage. Give the man love for his skill and musical individuality. No need for a backhanded compliment.
Alex Wandless At first I also thought “I would’ve played that different” I probably would’ve came in a little stronger with an open hi hat groove, but you’re right man, his interpretation is spotless, guy is like a clock. Also the way I interpret this song in my 500 people congregation will probably not work in this type of massive setting... He played the song like a session drummer would (lots of dynamics and articulation, understanding he is fully mic’d up) and I think that’s the right approach for worship drummers in large settings where everything comes across in the sound. Also most people don’t understand that a high caliber Artist/Composer like Matt Redman would probably guide the musicians into playing the song how he sees fit, not the other way around. Anyways this wasn’t a backhanded compliment, just a long way to say I agree with you.
Hahaha relax. He's allowed to have an opinion and he doesn't sound like he's being negative or anything. Would it make you feel better if he wrote "In my opinion" at the beginning of his sentence? Lol I hate when people bash people who critique other people on a platform like RUclips. Like, what do you think people use the comment section for? He doesn't have to do anything. Relax.
the temptation for "busy drums" is real, especially when your excited to play.
I LOVE THIS GUY!!! His playing is always so clean.
We don’t know, but those toms are 😍😍😍😍. Digging it bro!! God Bless!!!
Great vid and drumming! Always love the IEM mixs! It is great he drums for God. We should devote all we do to God.
This is my all time favorite arrangement of this song
That bass player was ready to hit a whole new level of thump. Drumming is better with a good bass player.
That mix sounds incredible! Toms sound huge
Toms sound HUGE!!!!!
video de hace un par de años ya, pero la mejor tocada de esta cancion que he visto, amazin my friend
4:19 I’ve gotten that look from my bass player so many times.
It was either a look of wow that was sick, or one of “oh shoot are we at the next section already?”
Love your rendition of this song.
Awesome video bro. Keep playing for Jesus and Him only. That's your gift.
Those drums are killer 🔥

I'm sure my face is around here somewhere - that was lit, my face melted clean off.
Excelente!!! Bendiciones hermanos!!!
He’s definitely the cymbal guy in these 10 type of drummers videos 😂
You're too good man! Way talented.
Wonderfullll
That was nice solid playing right there. 👍👍
Shout out to the bassist!! Pocket!!!
This guy is one solid dude!
Those ambassadors sound soooo good. Great clean drumming too lol
The ability to play live and then switch to a track while the rest of the band follows is impressive
love the snare
nice toms they sound perfect
Man if I wasn’t drumming for a bunch of services that day I woulda been there (I go to UCI) but you were killing it man!
I just found this channel, and as a worship drummer myself I LOVE IT. I am a new subscriber.
Drums4Jesus Awesome! Glad you are here
@@worshipdrummer absolutely!

Great drummer and groove, too busy in my personal taste (I play more pocket and basic for this tune), but otherwise great and the video is really nice
Layton Elscott - well said. Gimme the pocket!

A venue that size, that playing is a bit more appropriate. A small church sunday, yeah I
d agree, it would be a bit much
I’m training myself to be more disciplined in the pocket too. Just a preference I’m practicing as well✌🏽
Is he controlling the tracks? You can see him start click at the start
Daniel N probably, i do that at my church
solid
Uffff😍😍😍
How can I get the Metronome sound? Im a drummer and want to use a metronome
Man those sound great. Are they the quilted bubinga sunburst?
Please , what name of this metronome?
Iury subsix is from the track man!
How do you get that digital voice telling you when to transition?
Edwin Guzman it comes with the click / stems
Ben Possehl ? How tho? Is it a software? I’m not well versed in the whole in ear digital click thing. How do you set that up?
Edwin Guzman they’re probably using Abelton Live. You can buy the click/guide/tracks online and import them into Abelton or ProTools. Cool thing is you can set up MIDI to control lighting cues and even Pro Presenter slides.
Edwin Guzman most popular source is MultiTracks.com
Ben Possehl nice! Thanks
✊🏽🔥✊🏽
Is that a string in his snare ?
What app are you using for the click
@Big Be if they are using A track with a click side to it, they're probably using planning center's Music stand
The app is called Multitracks. It's for IOS users only
Ableton Live, more than likely.
First Like!!! #notificationsquad
What metronome are you using?
Marcos Abraham it’s a combination of Multitracks clicks and Loop Community Clicks. They’re using Ableton to run tracks and clicks.
Great drummer, maybe a little overplayed on the hi hat. But other than that, great job!
you're over-playing - sit in the pocket and support the tune
#antifrostvision respekt
A bit too fancy for the song but great drumming anyways!

Haha I definitely was having fun... just enjoying the experience and giving God my best
Renny Villarroel Thanks man really appreciate it!

😠no no no.tim
Overplayed :(
Snare sounds weak and the click is annoying.
AustinPetDetective if you wanna be a pro drummer, you have to get used to this click. and if he likes his snare that way, let him.
i disagree
Amazing!
