Hunter is good but his competition for most of the season was not. The running back at Boise State should probably get the award. I hate the Heisman, because it is an individual award for a team sport! Both will probably make an NFL squad. Whether Hunter is NFL material or not, is an enigma wrapped in a lot of hype!
@@davedyedavids2271 Don't know, Wilbert Montgomery played for a small university, I attended, and subsequently led the NFL in rushing yardage till his knee injury. Walter Payton went to Jackson State, Claude Humphreys and Ed "Too Tall" Jones attended Tennessee State, and Jerry Rice attended attended Mississippi Valley State. Incidentally, before Wilbert Montgomery transferred to Abilene Christian from Jackson State, he and Walter Payton were on the same Jackson State team at the same time!

The heisman don't really mean a whole lot. Who won last year, where is he now?
There was a back a few years agon name Troy Davis who ran for 2,000 2 times in 3 years and never won the Hesiman award from 1994-1996
