Berner Tramway Gesellschaft

Il modello ATLAS riproduce il rimorchio n°31 delle Tramvie a vapore di Berna BTG (Berner Tramway Gesellschaft). Il rimorchio è stato costruito ex-novo nel 1999 ispirandosi alla serie originale C4 19-30 del 1894 con cassa in legno, piattaforme aperte, sospensione ad un solo stadio data le basse velocità, adattata in seguito nel 1902 per la trazione elettrica.
I carrelli provengono dal vagone aperto Rkmo 816 della MOB del 1907 con passo di 1,20 m e sospensioni a balestra.
Il rimorchio n°31 è stato dotato di freno a mano, freno ad aria e freno a solenoide magnetico alimentato da una batteria situata a bordo del rimorchio stesso, per consentirne la trazione anche da motrici tranviarie.
La scelta del numero 31 attribuito a questo veicolo segna da un lato il suo legame con la serie originale C4 19-30, ma dall'altro sottolinea che non si tratta di un veicolo d'epoca.

The ATLAS model reproduces trailer n°31 of the Bern Steam Tramways BTG (Berner Tramway Gesellschaft). The trailer was built as new in 1999, inspired by the original C4 19-30 series from 1894 with a wooden body, open platforms, single-stage suspension due to the low speeds, later adapted in 1902 for electric traction.
The bogies come from the MOB Rkmo 816 open wagon from 1907 with a 1.20 m wheelbase and leaf spring suspension.
Trailer n°31 was equipped with a handbrake, air brake and magnetic solenoid brake powered by a battery located on board the trailer itself, to allow it to be traction even by tram car.
The choice of the number 31 assigned to this vehicle marks on the one hand its link with the original C4 19-30 series, but on the other hand underlines that it is not a vintage vehicle.
