If you are on the island, half the Ceratosaurus on the map are spawned on The Dead Isle (aka, Carnivore Island). I was fortunate to have already bred my boss runner Rexes when the Cerato was added. Built a pen from four stone behemoth gates. Just had to keep my Rex spinning in the middle of the pen to get decently fast drunkeness gain on the Ceratosaurus. Cost about 10k hp to tame up a 150 with a primitive saddle. Bit if a hard fit for a Rex in the box, though. A smaller tame is recommended. Using rare flowers also seemed to help keep the aggro.
For taming the ceratosaurus, I bred and fully imprinted a carbonemys. Got an ascendant saddle and leveled only health. I build an enclosure out of behemoth gates once I found a high level, and then let it damage my turtle. Easy tame! Highly recommend you use this technique. As long as the cerato is glowing purple/pink, you gain progress. Nip it to make the timer start if needed.
People highly underrate the Carbo's bulk (unless they're trying to tame a Tuso), it's probably one of the best early game tames for base defense because of it. However I do imagine that a Stego is better for the Ceratosaurus tame.
@@UltimateSock Stegos are generally one of the best tanking creatures in the game, PvP players love to use them for soaking turret fire. It's because they have decent health (only slightly less than the Turtle's), some inherent damage reduction (base 30%) that is further boosted by Hardened Plates (50% bonus), and rider dismount protection. I'm pretty sure they end up beating out the Carbo by virtue of simply having more DR, along with protecting the rider. Though I'm pretty sure Turtles are just as effective vs projectiles (which, iirc, they have increased DR against).
@@Liksterr97 I had a goofy idea. The cave in the center near blue ob island would be a great place to farm metal. Megalosaurus ALWAYS spawn at the end, but ankies are very muscly. If you avoid the end of the cave, it can overpower the cave nasties
i love ceratosaurus. I have tamed many on official but I haven't used them yet. I just love that they're basically frat bros from college. They see you, get confrontational, push you around while they steal your (spiked) drink, and then you give them food when they get too drunk and in the end you make a friend.
Syntac I’ve been going through a really hard time lately as I’m no longer with my girl friend of 2 years. Everything about this sucks but I just wanted to say no matter what your videos always find a way to put a smile on my face ❤️
Great video as always! I can't wait to see if anyone else add mods similar to what the Anomalocaris can do and the reset of hunter levels. If you haven't named it, Incognito would fit it so well and the Ceratosaurus looks like Poison Ivy's colors and that name would suit it. Have a great rest of the day!
For the shark costume: You need to have the summer bash mod on both servers. The Club Ark server when you earn it. The Center (or wherever you next spawn) when you respawn after getting it. Once you do that, die and it will show up in your default survivor items. If you add the summer bash mod after you respawn, you will probably need to re-earn it and then respawn and die to get the skin.
Syntac, you really should consider getting a Stego for future Ceratosaurus taming, the damage debuff they have plus the plate mode where they take even further reduced damage is perfect to use for taming them
Axe's build video has been uploaded, it's a total diss of your tiny build. Kind of like Size Matters, the bronto thing that was on top of his base when the four of you created a tribe. The one where he felt he had to hide his dodo base, fully colored as it wasn't the asthetic of the rest of you, but it was totally something Axe would live in and love. The war between you and Axe is still in full swing (and watch his video, it's really funny). Oh and the RUclipsr was Royalewithcheese, I missed the e because of spell check (yes Syntac, that is a huge hint of what Axe made).
You guys should have a Ceratosaurus race on Scorched. Mark out a course around the sand dunes or maybe around Evo's pyramid, put some obstacles that will sap speed, see who wins!
If you find a alpha prehistoric whale you can get a bunch of good stuff for blueprints and other things like good saddles guns weapons there’s a bunch of stuff stuff that you can get from a alpha prehistoric whale
Trap the Cerato, drug your pet and walk it over in attack range till he gets drunk or it gets low on HP then walk it away and heal it, i actually think your Glaucus would work but i'm not sure if the lighting feedback damage on the glaucus would mess that up. Because i'm positive you could heal the Glaucus faster than a max level cerato could injure it. Should have used the huge Theripod on the bridge!
The last one's death really was not your fault it was gonna die one way or another you were not going to get it out of the water fast enough in that situation. You CAN put them in a trap made from behemoth gates and just build gens inside till he tames. It takes 1.01 gens per 10 levels. You can charge it's bar by letting jellyfish sting you, Jim found that one out before he realized(he was told) that you could attack things to do that. that pets stats are amazing BTW the low carry is not an issue at all considering what you are going to use it for.
I claimed a baby 120 cerato with a gigantoraptor and I was so excited because I got to skip the taming process, unfortunately I didn't realize how the claiming levels actually worked, thought it was about doing the bonding mini game, it's actually just instantaneous and based on the levels you pumped into the gigantoraptor. Brought it from 120 all the way to a staggering 131
I have a long neck on my center solo thing and it does 1.6k to regular thing dodos and stuff body shot and does 761 to armored creature 3k to other things also have a pistol that does 400 a hit

For taming the ceratosaurus, I used the stego with 90ish Armor. It delt like 5-7 damage per hit on the hard plate mode. 100% wud recommend

Turtles are seriously underrated lol, I just used the four I have to go into a cave for a dung beetle lol. They didn’t even lose any health.

it is my favorite. ive bred a line of white bodied ceratos with blood red spikes from a mutation. they loook awesome
