I have to say this is making female fandom even more mysterious to me! So, the fact that this wasn't in fact the handsome lead actor's well developed chest but just some unknown guy who, as the vid points out, didn't even work out for the part would suggest it wasn't about Taylor Lautner and how he looked, the actual visuals being seen, but _conceptual_ -- the allure of the fictional character Jacob Black itself, the very suggestion, that was doing the trick. But if that's true, if the audience there were already fans of the novel, how would they not have known that Jacob was not carrying Bella at the time?
Enjoyed the new format, but there's something about a live reaction that's more exciting to watch, regardless of you having read the books before. Going forward, the movies do stray from the books a tiny bit if I recall... and without spoiling anything, I promise that at least a live reaction to the final movie is going to be well worth it. But no matter what format I always will look forward to these videos!
Live reactions just hit different, it feels like you're experiencing it with someone who hasn't seen it for the first time, regardless of whether they've read the book or not, it's just more satisfying. I did enjoy the commentary but for me personally, I prefer the previous format, it feels like these are thoughts you share after having watched it. Still grateful that you bothered to do this at all, I fully recognize that you didn't have to, like you could have done anything else but you did this and I appreciate your time/sacrifice. As a Brazilian I must say, one of the things I love most about the movies is seeing a certain relationship that Edward has with Rio de Janeiro, it's the most random thing in the universe but I love it, like he chose Brasil to be sad LOL
I would also like to cast my vote for the original live reactions, some of the film versions of books make such dramatic choices that seeing your reactions to when they happen is why your videos are so fun to watch

So yes re Quill and Embry. They are both Q and E, but they hired actual Native actors in the first movie and then told them that they needed to cut their hair to be wolves in the second movie and because hair is so important to their culture, they refused and were fired and recast because of it. (I don't think anything in the books said that they had short hair post wolfism, but you tell me lol) I also believe Taylor worked out extra hard because they also wanted to recast him, so that's why hes super jacked and absolutely no one else is

Love the new style! Couple things: 'loca' means crazy in spanish. It's a completely random thing for Jacob to say, it's so funny. Also, Michael Sheen said in an interview that for Aro's character he got the inspiration of Hannibal Lecter and the Blue Meanies from the Beatles' 'Yellow Submarine' and I think that's so accurate. I love Michael Sheen so much ❤

I LOVE the video essay format of this video, the jokes/punchlines are so much funnier because you're able to think of them after watching the movie. However, I do understand why many people prefer the live reaction format. Maybe you could try a mix of both? There are a few clips where you're trying to demonstrate the ridiculousness of the scene and just let it play out. Instead of that, you could insert your live reaction to the scene or any scene that illicited a strong reaction from you (and there will be quite a few in the upcoming movies). I personally watch reactions to see how the content creator reacts to the most talked about scenes in a movie/tv show, then I kind of zone out during the rest of it depending on what I'm watching lol. Okay, expectations shifted. I checked back so many times yesterday to make sure I didn't miss this video, but if the upload schedule changed to Monday now I know what to expect lol I didn't love the new format, but I feel like it can get more natural. What i really missed was the wine and you pausing the scene to rant. I just love the impassioned rants about how they changed or added scenes. Plus when you guess wrong about something and then the movie immediately points it out, but we kind of got that when you asked if that was Dakota Johnson or Fanning - and if she was dead.
I'm having a blast remembering Twilight through these videos. The "I would have been such a better kid to Charlie" bit was incredibly funny. Made even funnier by the fact although the actor is on the older side, I'm pretty sure Charlie had Bella straight out of High School, meaning you should be about the same age 😂
He did have bella right out of HS. But that would put Charlie closer to 40. This dude is right around 30. As a woman in my late 30’s, there is a big difference between a man at 30 and a man at 40.

I loved both videos so either format is great, this twilight series is so fun I'm having the best time watching it. The reason for Jacob's (and the whole pack's) hair cut is because their human hair length impacts their wolf fur length. They keep their hair short so it doesn't get in the way or matt in their wolf forms. It's mentioned in one of the remaining books somewhere.
I actually really love this format. The live reaction works well on the book but I get the concept for when you already know the story well. I enjoyed the green screen and the commentary. I think doing a mix of the two is great for stories you know vs don’t. I’d absolutely love more fantasy reads!

Dakota Fanning is very much alive. I think she went to college and had a life. She has been in plenty of things. She was in a really good show called The Alienst. It only lasted a couple of seasons. She was in some movies. She was recently in Ripley. She is alive and around.

I really enjoyed this new format it was fun and felt like a review but I do miss the live reactions especially in the points where the movie varies from the book. Maybe continue this style but throw in little live reaction clips! Both styles are very fun to watch either way!

So for the two guys that were Jacob’s friends in the first movie, one is supposed to be Embry and the other is supposed to be Sam. Sam is the one that says “The Cullens don’t come here,” and launches Bella into her curiosity of figuring out why and what the Cullens actually are. I never understood why Sam was there instead of Quil, since Quil and Embry are Jacob’s childhood friends and Sam is supposed to be like two or even three years older than those three. Also, Tyler, the only African American, was left out of the rest of the movies because he was purely used for the crash plot point and that was it. Besides being one of the boys who’s trying to get Bella’s attention in Twilight, he’s a background character in the rest of the books. His girlfriend Lauren was also just written into Jessica’s character, instead of them being separate people entirely. There’s quite a few people that were dropped from the movies entirely or recast/let go in later movies and it was interesting to see.
I can tell you were having a good time doing the video in this format. And it's not bad. I just prefer your live, knee jerk reactions. They always made me smile.
I'll die on the hill that the blue filter was perfect for that first movie. It was the VIBE and we lost it. Not Carlisle giving you spoilers???? Sir???? Was Edward wearing a suit in the break-up scene cause it's the same outfit from her party, the night before? I was thought it was and it was meant show that he and the family spent the whole time discussing what to do, he was so distressed etc etc and he never changed before coming to talk to Bella.

As a fellow book lover, in order to get over any additions made to films from the original source material, I've tried to look at them as deleted scenes from the book. This works especially when they add something to the story - like when Billy died. This just means more story instead of a changed story if that makes sense. For the video style, I do like the live reactions. But this also felt more polished and gave it something different from the book reactions. You react live to the books so having more time to think about your thoughts to the film makes sense. In the end, if you're happier with this format, I say go for it!

I’ve read a lot of the comments and have to say that I also prefer the live reactions. However, someone’s idea of using this format and then inserting clips from your first watch through/live reactions into it seems like a happy blending of the two. Still love to watch every video you upload, though!

Maybe you can find a way to do both, a live reaction video and then a separate video in this format discussing deeper into the comparisons to the book and how you felt about each important scene? Although that adds a lot more work on your part 😅 so either way you choose to do these going forward, I’m here for it! Though as I’ve seen in other comments, a live reaction to the final movies is a MUST. As long as you avoid any further spoilers, it just seems missing the opportunity to see your genuine initial reactions to certain scenes would be a travesty 😂

I just love the impassioned rants about how they changed or added scenes. Plus when you guess wrong about something and then the movie immediately points it out, but we kind of got that when you asked if that was Dakota Johnson or Fanning - and if she was dead.

I'm having a blast remembering Twilight through these videos. The "I would have been such a better kid to Charlie" bit was incredibly funny. Made even funnier by the fact although the actor is on the older side, I'm pretty sure Charlie had Bella straight out of High School, meaning you should be about the same age 😂
He did have bella right out of HS. But that would put Charlie closer to 40. This dude is right around 30. As a woman in my late 30’s, there is a big difference between a man at 30 and a man at 40.
I love this new format! The only thing i would like different though is if for the really big plot points it showed your initial reaction. But for the rest the new format is great and this video was so funny! :)

I always read Jasper's portrayal in this movie as: he has a hard time handling all the nonsense teenaged emotions coming at him. When they're away from the high school, he acts pretty normal.
The way we lost out minds in the theater when he asked to marry her lol- you had to be there 😅

I remember hearing this too! The original actors are native and for some tribes it’s against their beliefs to cut their hair.

I loved both videos so either format is great, this twilight series is so fun I'm having the best time watching it. The reason for Jacob's (and the whole pack's) hair cut is because their human hair length impacts their wolf fur length. They keep their hair short so it doesn't get in the way or matt in their wolf forms. It's mentioned in one of the remaining books somewhere.

it feels like a second reaction to the movie, I really like when seen you watching and reacting, not so much the commentary style, but it was good too
I actually really love this format. The live reaction works well on the book but I get the concept for when you already know the story well. I enjoyed the green screen and the commentary. I think doing a mix of the two is great for stories you know vs don’t. I’d absolutely love more fantasy reads!

Dakota Fanning is very much alive. I think she went to college and had a life. She has been in plenty of things. She was in a really good show called The Alienst. It only lasted a couple of seasons. She was in some movies. She was recently in Ripley. She is alive and around.

I really enjoyed this new format it was fun and felt like a review but I do miss the live reactions especially in the points where the movie varies from the book. Maybe continue this style but throw in little live reaction clips! Both styles are very fun to watch either way!

So for the two guys that were Jacob’s friends in the first movie, one is supposed to be Embry and the other is supposed to be Sam. Sam is the one that says “The Cullens don’t come here,” and launches Bella into her curiosity of figuring out why and what the Cullens actually are. I never understood why Sam was there instead of Quil, since Quil and Embry are Jacob’s childhood friends and Sam is supposed to be like two or even three years older than those three.
Also, Tyler, the only African American, was left out of the rest of the movies because he was purely used for the crash plot point and that was it. Besides being one of the boys who’s trying to get Bella’s attention in Twilight, he’s a background character in the rest of the books. His girlfriend Lauren was also just written into Jessica’s character, instead of them being separate people entirely. There’s quite a few people that were dropped from the movies entirely or recast/let go in later movies and it was interesting to see.

Was Edward wearing a suit in the break-up scene cause it's the same outfit from her party, the night before? I was thought it was and it was meant show that he and the family spent the whole time discussing what to do, he was so distressed etc etc and he never changed before coming to talk to Bella.
Maybe this is not helpful at all, but I enjoy both ways of editing. Each bring a different way to see/discuss the movie.

As a fellow book lover, in order to get over any additions made to films from the original source material, I've tried to look at them as deleted scenes from the book. This works especially when they add something to the story - like when Billy died. This just means more story instead of a changed story if that makes sense.
For the video style, I do like the live reactions. But this also felt more polished and gave it something different from the book reactions. You react live to the books so having more time to think about your thoughts to the film makes sense. In the end, if you're happier with this format, I say go for it!

I’ve read a lot of the comments and have to say that I also prefer the live reactions. However, someone’s idea of using this format and then inserting clips from your first watch through/live reactions into it seems like a happy blending of the two.

I enjoyed hearing your thoughts in this format a lot, but I also like the live reactions as well. Maybe you can find a way to do both, a live reaction video and then a separate video in this format discussing deeper into the comparisons to the book and how you felt about each important scene? Although that adds a lot more work on your part 😅 so either way you choose to do these going forward, I’m here for it!
Though as I’ve seen in other comments, a live reaction to the final movies is a MUST. As long as you avoid any further spoilers, it just seems missing the opportunity to see your genuine initial reactions to certain scenes would be a travesty 😂
