    only if Sanskrit is made mandatory in Indian school, people will be able to read the Hindu scriptures. ancient universities like taxila ,Nalanda need to be rebuilt again in order to bring the ancient wisdom and serenity back.

    Sure those words are not used directly, just like Sanskrit is not called 'Sanskrit' in the Vedas. These are words that have been given later, just like 'Nirvana' came after 'Sanyaas', during Buddhist times. This does not mean that the concept does not exist in the Vedas. Moksha is called 'Amrtam', and Sanyasis are called 'Indo', among other names.

    Is vedas are different with every human or its standard for all. If it was made for some special community then haw can every one follow that. i am still confuse with that concept. do you think today all cast and community should read vedas.

    • @IndianVedas
      @IndianVedas  8 лет назад +1

      Yes, the Vedas are for everybody on Earth, as well as on any other planet where humans may be there. The essential Dharma propounded in them is Saarvabhauma (for the whole planet), Saarvajanika (for every person irrespective of their position in society, etc.) and Saarvakaalika (for all times). This is because they do not contain rules for when to pray, how many times to pray, etc. Just like the Theory of Relativity is the same for all, all generic truths are common to all, without distinction for caste, creed and religion. However, there is another type of Dharma which is specific, e.g., the duties of a parent, that of a child, that of a king, etc. Here, also the dictums that are given in the Vedas are timeless, and define generic duties and responsibilities, also known as Dharma.

      ***** The Vedas are not easy books to read. It is like wanting to read a book on Higher Mathematics without any grounding in the basics... That said, I have not come across any good translations of them in English. In fact, I would strongly dissuade you from reading those by Western authors, like Max Mueller, Griffith, etc.In my view, the best place to start is to read Swami Dayanand Saraswati's 'Light of Truth'. This starts by giving the basics of the philosophy covered in the Vedas. Some of the best Vedic verses are given along with their meanings. The book should be available at an Arya Samaj near you. Otherwise you can order by post.

      +Joy Pina Your question is not very clear. It would be helpful if your rephrased it.In general, comprehending the divine nature of Vedas can be difficult in the beginning. So, its OK - you can take them as written by sages in the hoary past. But that is not the truth...

    • @lookoi9363

      Vedas were divine revelations revealed in very deep state of meditation to advanced adepts and sages.not product of logic.but ultimate reality beyond ordinary thinking process.many modern physicist s like Einstein were impressed.

    • @IndianVedas
      @IndianVedas  8 лет назад +1

      It is indeed true that you have to do lot more to study the Vedas by yourself. However, you can make a beginning by studying Swami Dayanand Saraswati's Satyarth Prakash (available in both the original Hindi and an English translation). Then Swamiji's Rgvedaadi-bhaashya-bhoomikaa will give you a good grounding and introduction for further study.For studying Vaidika Sanskrit, it is important to learn Laukika Sanskrit first. So, go ahead and study that anyway.

      The verse says that to attain God we have to sit alone in meditation. That involves retracting one's senses into one's mind which itself ponders over the greatness of God and His creation. Slowly, even the mind is silenced and the Soul connects directly with God.

      +Rajib Das Yes, it is better to read the Vedas in regional languages, as English authors are influenced by Western thinkers. I am sorry, I do not know about commentaries on the Vedas in Bangla! Maybe you can Google online...
