Judge Cooper did strongly hint that this matter should be mediated. The judge did a great job of exposing holes in the ACC's argument, while Judge Bledsoe allowed questions to go unanswered. Judge Cooper did a lot of research and clearly has loads of experience. Pointing out that the ACC's media interest in FSU's home games, that take place in the state of FL, makes that matter of FL jurisdiction is something I'm interested in seeing argued.
Long story short, judge Cooper essentially told the ACC and ESPN they need to start mediation by Mar 22 or the contracts are brought into the Sunshine.
The judge may be referring to ESPN Trade Secrets .. aka Patent

I might be misremembering, but I thought the patent laws were being used to compare to the trade secrets argument… which makes sense to me. But I was working while listening, so my attention was divided.

I was listing while working too lol . 2 things stuck out to me , 1 the judge essentially told them before the ruling they were venue shopping before his decision and 2 you could definitely tell he getting annoyed with them trying to tell him how to do his job

Is the ACC’s preemptive lawsuit without 2/3 vote still a possibility of Floridas taking precedent?
Both courts of appeals (NC & FL) will have a chance to weigh in on that…
Noles get big win, and then nobody wants anything to do with them. This is the how you stab yourself in the back. Nobody wants to play football against a bunch of drama queens.

Based on your earlier podcast, looks like FSU and Clemson will be out by 2027 or before, depending upon which contract/shenanigans vulnerability overrides the others. Maybe somewhere less than 90 million it seems. Or less. The question is, will you be in the Big Ten by 2027 or sooner. Same for Clemson, Miami maybe, a fun one like Georgia Tech picking up the Atlanta market. If we are going to 24 max, I hope so. Save room for maybe Utah and, of course, Notre Dame.
Federal Court here we come! No way the ACC negotiates or mediates it’s demise. Too much on the line for the conference. Stay tuned.
Federal Court can still kick it back down and you better hope this is settled in state court cause if this goes federal it could be over a year or longer before it gets heard and then we’re stuck in the ACC for however long this takes to get settled

You know Leon county Court was not expected I known that Florida state was going to win in the state of Florida and now the antitrust Laws have to stay in the State of Florida they cannot go to North Carolina so now this Florida State favor the ACC if it was more of the Florida State now the ACC is in the back of the corner of the wall and now we're told that ACC might lose the whole entire lawsuit this is going to look bad for the ACC conference but not the Florida State .? @7empest376
That didn't make a lot of sense without the necessary punctuation. That said, based on what I think you were trying to get across, your reading of that decision is incorrect. There's nothing that was ruled on yesterday that precludes the NC lawsuit from going forward.
Good Lord man, please use punctuation. Do you talk that way, without pausing for a breath? Punctuation separates your thoughts instead of them all running together. Go back and reread what you wrote out loud without pausing or stopping or even taking a breath. Geez!
