This single exercise has increased my sitting time in library. Feeling strong in my abdominal No rounded shoulders while sitting Got aware of this new muscle ..thanx for uploading...it realy works
It makes sense that you might feel it there considering where psoas attaches on the lumbar spine, which is very near to the obliques. - Coach Joshua, Team PM
These past few months, whenever I got out of any car, I felt like an electric snap right between the upper thighs when I slightly opened my legs. I do think that's the start of my psoas issues.
Cars suck for hips. This article can give you some ideas on what to do about that: www.precisionmovement.coach/driving-hip-lower-limb-mobility/ Check it out and let us know what you think :) - Coach Joshua, Team PM
Wow, activating my psoas for a few secods already burns and hurts, I guess after 10+ years af fitness training this muscle is still not trained :-D thanks for your advice!
Hi Eric, wonder if you can help. Have done your hip course and also this test for psoas. Psoas seems to be working fine but I get a lot of tightness in my TFL, lower abdomen and lower back. When I do your extended press up and raising the knee exercise the tightness in the lower abdomen and back is really magnified. Can you give any pointers as to what may be problematic or which video to take a look at (as an add on, injured my rectoris femoris some years ago). As always, thanks for putting such great content out there!
When I try this I feel a large contraction and tightness in my upper rectus femoris. But I have already tried relieving it with exercise and eccentric release. What could be the issue? Is my psoas too weak? My quad has been feeling tight and overactive lately, but I can't relieve it and activate my psoas.
@@PrecisionMovementCoach you instruct to hyperextend the lumbar spine to facilitate psoas activation. When I do that my isquio-buttocks lift from the ground

thank you for this video
You're welcome!
Can i rely on this technique as an exercise for the psoas?
Yes :)
What if you feel it mostly in the oblique area and the underneath the obliques?

Precision Movement by Eric Wong thanks so much. Really working and getting some good progress. Also found the Rec fem video, also great 👍

Your psoas could definitely be the culprit. Start working on these exercises: ruclips.net/video/63DQMoOdzdI/видео.html - Coach Joshua, Team PM
Thanks for the explanation. When I arch my lower back (lumbar) my isquio-lower buttocks lift from the ground. Is that ok?
I'm not sure that I follow you. When exactly does that happen?
@@PrecisionMovementCoach you instruct to hyperextend the lumbar spine to facilitate psoas activation. When I do that my isquio-buttocks lift from the ground
Try to suppress that.
How to aware those who already have hyper extending spine
Hi and thanks for asking!
I don't quite understand your question. Can you clarify it?
Talk to you soon :)

Hi Eric, doing HC2 atm - can the rectus femoris inhibit the psoas too?
Yes, absolutely.
I would focus on psoas isolation and activation only for now. Don't tinker too much.
