I find that using a cashew cream or bechamel sauce with nutritional yeast as the cheese gives a much better flavor than the Daiya. Not only does it taste better, its better for you as well. Thanks for sharing the video.

That’s a great idea! I’ve been testing a cashew cream that’s blended with roasted garlic and various spices. I’m really happy with the flavor but I haven’t nailed the consistency yet.

@@PizzaWithPlants add tapioca starch and cook it in a frying pan for a bit until it begins to thicken. Also, instead of using vinegar for a sour note, use food grade lactic acid.

Nice! I just got some lactic acid, but I do not have tapioca starch so I will pick some of that up. Thanks again for the tips, we appreciate it!

i switched from stone to steel 4 years ago and never regreted it! for pizza i put the steel on the highest possible level in the oven which gives better results. steel is in my opinon also for bread baking much better. for pre-heating time i recommend at least 30min at the beginning and then at least 5min between each pizza.

Nice! We love our steel as well and Kadee has used it for her sourdough bread she makes. That’s a great idea to have it on the highest level! Thx for watching!

Thank you sooooo much for teaching the basics! I'm a total newbie to making my pizza by hand and I've been learning SO MUCH from you two.
I've been watching videos on pizza oven reviews....... One of the ones I'm looking at is the Ninja Wood Fire (I think that's what it's called). It's pretty fool proof (which is what I need!😊

Kadee and I sincerely appreciate the kind words! ❤️ The whole reason we started the channel was to share our experiences in being plant based and inspiring people to be adventurous in the kitchen. I’m excited you’ve found a pizza oven you like and can’t wait to hear how your pizza making journey goes!!

You mentioned that you make bread.......do you have any videos on that?? That is something i would love to try making.......
Watching your video on making the pizza dough, i see that you also have a proofing bin.....ugh......there is so much i need if I'm gonna get serious about bread / pizza making!!!

Kadee is the master bread maker and has made a wide variety of breads. We haven’t done any videos on her bread making but that’s a great idea! We love our proofing box but just starting out you wouldn’t need one. We got it because I make homemade tempeh and during the process it has to stay at a constant 96 to 98 degrees. We’ve used it for the bread and pizza dough as well but you could easily start without it. Thanks again for the video idea!
