Røst 1

Røst is an island north of the Polar Circle, west of the town of Bodø. 650 people live here, mainly occupying themselves around the rich cod fisheries outside the small island. I drove my 1953 MG TD the 1200 kilometers from Oslo to Bodø, and sailed with the ferry from Bodø to Røst. The island is a very special place, and Røstlandet, where people have their houses, is almost flat. Highest point reaching only 12 meters above sea level. The nearby mountains are famous for their rich bird life.
This is the first of three videos I recorded from the island. The second and third will be published a little later.
