My 17x (RTX 4080 + 13900HX) with the highest "Creator" and "Turbo" mode are so conservative that It never allows my CPU to reach any temp over 69c. As soon as it its 70c a get the wattage reduced. Gigabyte needs to re evaluate these thermal settings and at the very least allow it to hit 90 or 95c. This is ridicules. It's not letting the 13900HX run!
Try go into the BIOS to find setting such as TCC Offset or anything that can remove the limiter, or you can try using Intel XTU to brute force OC the cpu until it finally surpasses the limit.
@@thaibinh6585 This BIOS appears to be locked down. Intel XTU has most features either greyed out or not working. Im guessing the BIOS is clamped. After more testing, this CPU runs very cool. I suspect Gigabyte locked it down early so they can gradualy let it go higher and higher with future releases as they feel more comfortable with it? They seem to be running the 17x VERY safe in the first months?
Looks good, can't wait to see the more indepth benchmarks so far at 2920 after taxes the M18 still looks good but still waiting build and ship so have a little time to change my mind thanks P.S, 4k after taxes is a bit expensive especially with this current overall market and inflation
Cheaper option? Better cooling? I don't think so, the Aorus 17X is more well built with Aluminum Top and Bottom compared to the more plastic Scar 18 with just Top aluminum, the cooling on the Aorus 17X is 4 fans + vapor chamber vs only 3 fans and vapor on the Scar. The Aorus is also a smaller and thinner design.
That’s not how it works. No matter what device you have, RUclips videos’ frame rate and resolution are determined by the RUclips website itself. A $100 laptop and a $9,999,999 laptop would run RUclips videos exactly the same. Currently, RUclips’s maximum frame rate is 60. Maximum resolution is 4K. RUclips’s video compression is good enough that any device can play a video at those settings.

Interesting to see how is the screen qulity, brightness and if it has Gsync
Looks like a cheaper option of the ASUS SCAR18 with a better cooling system. Still hesitating between those 2...
