hey will, I'm the guy who showed you how to do the palm fan at blade, and I'm glad to see youre getting it way better! one transition I've been working on is going from backhand fan to a palm fan.
I usually go into a palm fan after doing a choker fan or back hand fan. What I like doing is regular fan, into choker, into palm and then into back hand fan or sometimes reverse the order of the last two fans. I still need to work on making my transitions to palm fans smoother tho
Giraffe and chadder, those are what helped me inprove the most. And not just the original orientations, yoy hqve to learn the giraffes for all fingers/the arialless, the ladder beingnlearned last!!, and the reverse for chadder!!
i noticed on your giraffes that instead of using your ring finger you use your index instead, i suggest you learn the normal giraffes and get those smooth and consistent first before trying a different variation. the giraffe is mostly a momentum based trick and the momentum after the mid finger roll naturally wants to gravitate towards your ring finger which can help you start the ring finger chaplin, this in turn helps you understand the flow of the trick better and make them more consistent which in turn can also help you understand how to learn different variations of the trick as well
Hey @WillHirschFlips the teflon Vulp (both white and black) looks awesome! The white one reminds me of the Squiddy. Speaking of the Squiddy, have you ever thought about a full g10 Vulp? I know the standart Vulp is a great beginner balisong and I myself use it every day but a g10 version that runs only on washers would be cheaper to produce and could be sold cheaper aswell. Beginners that only have a budget of 20-50 $ and who live in a country where it is not common to run around the streets with a metallic balisong trainer would buy the g10 Vulp and would not get looked at wierdly. That is the reason why the Squiddy is so popular. You can take it anywhere and it is the cheapest option. It would be nice to hear your thoughts on this idea!
Hey Will, you're an awesome flipper. I'm very new to balisong flipping and I love it. I've got a white teflon vulp on the way. Thanks for your expertise.
I do a choker to palm, you stop it at the first finger tho and then grab it with all your fingers and go into the palm fan, but as the buffness said before me tou can do a full one too
I’m in the middle of the video and I sent you a video on how I do my palm fans and reverse palm fans way different than what you explained. As for my I love going into palm fans with choker fans, and out of palm fans with a backhand fan, I like fans. Only. Fans. 😬
hi, I'm new in the balisong world. I've just bought a vulp trainer. I'd like to understand what are the pros and cons of the teflon one vs the the standard trainer
The main pro is extra grip, but it's not super necessary if you are new to flipping. The main con is overall durability, as any coating will be less durable then anodization. So, for beginners, I still suggest the original!
@@WillHirschFlips thanks, can't wait to get It. I'm fron Italy so It might take some time. It's my first bali ever so I hope it will always be the one that I'll remember forever
I just keep doing the choker and the knife kinda props itself for a backhand fan. I haven't learned palm fan, but i feel like that would be a good entry
I really want a vulp pro but I NEVER want a bottle opener balisong again, it's horrible. Unfortunately you only have the normal vulp as an option now without one.
could you talk about these knew amazon live blades. on amazon theres like a new company selling live blades the way that the nabalis canyons come(they are listed as a wrench but theyre an actual live blade balisong) they look cool but it would be cool for you to talk about (in my opinion)
the only way im able to get into a chaplin other than just setting it on my finger is thumb rollover into chaplin, just feels natural, the weight just swings and flings off my index when i try to go from open positon(the normal way as far as i know)
Speaking of the Vulp, is there any estimate on when the Vulp Pro gets restocked? The black and gold false edge has been sold out for a while now, and I need that thing in my life lol
I’m having problems with the palm fan as well…. And I’ve been at it for months lol. Wanna show my support, I just ordered a white one, really excited…. I’m gonna end up broke lol 😂🎉
so I've been flipping my teflon coated Will Hirsch Vulp for a few days now and WOW! I'm now torn on buying a 2nd one as a backup because I'm going to ware this thing out, or getting the pro... best bali I have so far, hands down.. how is this thing so inexpensive?? well done good sir Question... is there any chance you'll offer the Vulp Pro with the Teflon coating?? If so I'll wait!
I ordered the vulp and i did a mistake i wrote gmail as gmai whitout l-letter what do i do when now i cant track the order or i cant get notification when it arrives please will help me ❤ or anyone that can help me it will be very helpfull
3:04 it doesnt really have the best "flow" i guess but i like to go do regular fan > first part of choker fan > reverse palm fan > palm fan the four fan family
Purple gang rise up! My only hope is that the purple is truly purple and not pinkish or plum
Genuinely one of my biggest complaints about most purple things lmao. It's almost always just magenta.
Bro you sound like that guy on cnn 10 saying rise up
Yuh
i too am an enjoyer of the nabalis purple anode
Looks very light. Wyt
Full choker fan to palm fan is very flowy. That’s my go to.
Been trying to learn that one myself. I can do it but it’s not smooth at all yet.
Same, sometimes I'll do Ethan's fan to choker, then into palm fan
What's Ethan's fan you got links for the tutorial?@@senseiswope1630
Good call. That's what I end up doing, without thinking about it.
I do short choker to backhand fan to palm fan
Really want that matte black, but would like to try a shiny version. If anything, please make a matte black vulp pro w/ black g10!
hey will, I'm the guy who showed you how to do the palm fan at blade, and I'm glad to see youre getting it way better! one transition I've been working on is going from backhand fan to a palm fan.
I want to see a patriotic Vulp for the 4th of July.
Just finished watching your blade show haul video
@@Mrmicrowaveman3let’s go bro.
Ohhh I like that idea! It's too close this year to make it happen but maybe in the future??
Something funny about a Chinese knife decked out in American symbolism. Lol
Honestly, kind of fitting.

If possible, I think an orange coating would be pretty cool and also kinda on brand

I like doing a palm fan to restart my combo after a z choker ice pick catch :D
Really excited for mine to come in. Great video!!

For options into palm fan. Something that would fit your style really well is 0g ladder, backhand fan to palm fan
Do a ice pick spin type motion to go into the pall tan works really whell for me
Thank you!
Yessss I’m so hyped the Teflon is here
Can’t wait for the colored ones :)
for the palm fan thing i do a full choker to backhand fan to a palm fan
I usually do it from a choker fan or backhand
for the palm fan what is do is, from the chocker fan i end it holding the safe handle then do the palm fan
35 secs ago is crazy. definitely gonna pick one of these up! I also do a thumb rollover for my plan fans.
when can we expect the other coloured teflon vulps?
I do a choker to palm, you stop it at the first finger tho and then grab it with all your fingers and go into the palm fan, but as the buffness said before me tou can do a full one too
Will the Vulp Pro be coming out Teflon Coated? I have the orange pro and debating on getting the white vulp..?
There are not plans for it currently!
really need that tutorial i never understood them because i just learn by watching people do it and it never work out

Only. Fans. 😬
Index roll and dip your hand and catch it like youre going straight into a thumb roll but turn your hand palm up and flick the fan instead
hoping the black teflon is finally updated because i still only see the 1 white and black versions on the site lol

Loving the new stuff Will. Can’t wait to get one. 🤘
I don’t have an orange bali yet…I suppose I could settle with purple for now though 😉

but does the vulp pro have more grip than the teflon coated vulp?
I would say so yes, it's also more thought out as to where the grip is compared to the teflon vulp.
Hey Will, do you know if the zippy inserts properly work with teflon vulp?
Wish I could get just the stickers to put on the purple one in the future :(
the only way im able to get into a chaplin other than just setting it on my finger is thumb rollover into chaplin, just feels natural, the weight just swings and flings off my index when i try to go from open positon(the normal way as far as i know)
Do you happen to know when purple will be available? Really want to snag one but wondering if I should wait on the purple. :)

I will ask Nabalis!

What about neon yellow?
Hopefully in the future!!
I thought it was like a squiddy, made of teflon. But it's a layer of teflon on the entire product.
It sounds grippy. Send me 2 to try out.
I ordered mine yesterday can't wait!
I bet someone will say some bullshit like: gay knife🤣
Hey man sorry if you covered it before, but what camera do you use?
