Wait, isn't grouping layers together mean clip masking layers in the same layer? You can do that, if that's the case. Or you can alpha lock, merge, duplicate, and opacity the layer individually. I am not a expert at art but I can assure you that you can INDEED group layers together. (P.S. I am horrible at explaining 🙇)

(Krita on the computer with a ugge m708 drawing tablet and ibis paint on my samsung Ao2 phone) but i think krita is better in my opinion because it has better animation features but in your case you work more with ilustration and ibis paint is definitly a good one for that area especially when i comes to your style

Ibis Paint absolutely wins and in 2nd place is Krita (◍•ᴗ•◍)
