GD is really such an artist. He is so talented and his music really feels like art. Actually everything he does feels like art. You can see how much he loves what he does. This song in particular seemed so sincere and he just seemed so vulnerable. It literally gives me chills and makes me cry everytime i listen to it. The first time I heard this song, it was without lyrics and I was sitting on my own and halfway through I realised there were tears rolling down my face, and it absolutely stunned me because I've never reacted to music like that before. Especially with no knowledge of what the words meant, there was just something in his voice ...this rawness, just like you said. My first reaction on hearing this was also to ask myself why there wasn't more content of him singing like this. I mean I remember at some point him saying in an interview that he didn't like the sound of his singing voice because it was too thin, idk who's going to tell him he sounds like an angel? So despite the scarcity some songs where he is vaguely singing are Café (it's a pretty unique song in general, I recommend the live performance), let's not fall in love and among solos 'without you'

This song really pulls at your emotion when performed live. I was lucky to see him during his solo tour before he went into the military. It brought me to tears thats how much emphasis on the emotion he portrayed while performing it.

Wow okay the story behind this song. I saw G-Dragon live in Miami for the tour behind this album. And he said that this song is supposed to be like a letter. A letter from G-Dragon to Kwon JiYong, saying that he’s sorry that he made this persona for himself and ignored who he is on the inside all these years. That essentially he’s truly had a sense of identity crisis since entering the entertainment industry at 9 years old, he was never able to live life as a child. That’s he’s sorry that he’s been G-Dragon his whole life and that he never stopped to just be, himself. So the whole album is supposed to be him discovering his true self and finding a way to discover and be the best person he can be. While also not losing G-Dragon or the person he’s become, to somehow wish to be both people. But both are so separate that he struggles everyday. It was a very very emotional speech and we allllll cried. Even him. He asked us to call him kwon ji yong throughly the concert and it was very raw and real and I hope that now that he’s back he can truly find himself.

I remember everybody was shocked that gd choose this song as the title song of his latest album esp that the original title song is a crazy experimental song u know the gd style called Bullshit but he changed it before the release because one of bigbang members was having hard time so he filmed this MV in 1 hour and released it, many said it will flop but they really underestimated his power , there is no gd song that flops, so the album in general was huge success and broke so many records.

Also re: his vocal capabilities, idk if you’ve heard about a variety show that used to run called infinite challenge? But they used to do specials where each member collabed with an artist and made/performed a sing together. I freaking love GD, tbh. He's pretty much the only non-BTS artist that I really enjoy in Kpop. I'm so excited to see his comeback! He's actually a musical genius, I've heard. He's been an idol since he was REALLY young. I think he started training when he was 12, and he has pretty extensive writing and producing credits. But I'm not a VIP, so let them tell you all the facts. LOL

Man U must not know hardly any groups at all or be willing to listen to others to only like one other artist in kpop 😬 kpop is vast and beautiful and there are so many groups who are unique and talented who constantly get overshadowed and never given a chance and that is so fucking sad. People need to get out of comfort bubbles and try other kpop groups music. People like ONF, Victon, Great Guys, 1team and so many more are talented and write their own music.
Cami Forrester no hate, but he/she said he was one that they enjoy, not that it was the only one they knew. Other talented and hardworking groups exist, and nobody denies that. But people are free to have a preference, and while it’s sad other groups don’t get as much recognition one cannot be forced to like them just because they are hard working. Personally, I don’t listen to BTS because their music (or rather their voices) don’t vibe with me. I enjoy the music of very few groups, and there isn’t any group in which I like every single song. I appreciate the hard work other groups put in, but I just don’t have the time for all of them
One of the reasons I love him so much is that no matter how sad the lyrics are , his songw always sound really positive or energetic, like no matter how bad it is, he still has hope.

One of many songs of his I really like, they’ve had so much hardship since debut and 2014 is when GD wrote this song then much later in 2017 TOP hospitalized from overdosing while in military around the same time GDragon was having his comeback. As the leader of Bigbang going through so much and being part of the kpop industry since he was 5 years old, I see why he wrote this song and It shows a more deep emotional side of him. He’s not the King of Kpop for nothing!

Mickey Jean your comment implies that TOP was hospitalized in 2014, so I was just clarifying that he was hospitalized in 2017, not 2014. As for waiting, that’s very common amongst artists. There are other BB songs that were written years before they were released, like Sober

I remember everybody was shocked that gd choose this song as the title song of his latest album esp that the original title song is a crazy experimental song u know the gd style called Bullshit but he changed it before the release because one of bigbang members was having hard time so he filmed this MV in 1 hour and released it, many said it will flop but they really underestimated his power , there is no gd song that flops, so the album in general was huge success and broke so many records.

Also re: his vocal capabilities, idk if you’ve heard about a variety show that used to run called infinite challenge? But they used to do specials where each member collabed with an artist and made/performed a sing together. GD has done this three times but the last time he was with Taeyang and they did a “king of the masked singer” style reveal. Definitely check that out! Hi hooman! My recommendation for a great GD track is "A boy". It has, at least to me, a very nostalgic sound. It's an underappreciated song so you're probably not gonna do a reaction for it but I really hope you at least give it a listen on your own time.
