DreamCatcher definitely has one of the most unique sounds in Kpop. There really is no other group that does what they do the way they do it. Their music often has that hard hitting rock inspired chorus, music fitting for an anime or game OST. Though their B-sides have a wide array of music. Dance wise, they I think they have some of the prettiest formations that are almost eerie at times (like them). For this comeback and their previous one (Scream), they are missing one member, Handong, who's currently stuck in China. But there's 7 members total. When you have a chance, please check out some of their older stuff! Most particularly Good Night and You & I

You should check out Scream! Scream was the first time they used extra dancers, they even used a masked dancer as a placeholder for an absent member.

Otherwise, 'What' and 'Piri' from the tail end of their Nightmare Series would be good to watch. No supporting dancers back then ('Scream' was their first title track to do so), though both have iconic pieces of choreo such as the cannon/ripple effect at the beginning of 'What' and the tableau at the beginning of 'Piri'.
i can't even imagine why a lot of people saying that dreamcatcher should change their concept to gain a lot of attention , when they can do that on their own way ,being unique is not bad cuz being unique is the best way to know you . dreamcatcher's live vocals is insane they always makes me proud for them
Before they switched to the name Dreamcatcher, they did cutesy concepts. The people who say they should change their concept are wrong because this group didn't get recognition until they started doing the rock/metal concept.
its kinda tru that being very unique is actually a downside cuz nowadays the groups that typically blow up are "trendy" but either way dc have carved their own path they have people who appreciate their style their bsides are super varied and experimental (so theyre not only rock) and in the end they reinvented themselves from minx and are doing songs they love

Dreamcatcher always perform like they're on an award show, that's just how epic they are. I would also like to recommend you Scream andYou And I. Scream was their first choreography with dancers! They also had a masked dancer to fill the spot of one of the members. Dreamcatcher actually has 7 members but one member is currently stuck in china :(. For You and I, they used props in their choreography. Absolutely looking forward to your reaction!

btw, it was siyeon with the vibrato, their main vocal, gahyeon with the pink hair,and dami with the insane deep voice (she sings too, you can check their bsides but their song "and there was no one left" really showcased her beautiful vocals

When you said this is a performance that can be on RTK, I had to pause bc I was hit with a sense of pride and disappointment at the same time lol. Proud bc yes, this is the caliber that these women are able to pull off. You said this is so grand but to DC this is just a regular comeback. This is just the scale that they're working with and that's so amazing.
Disappointment bc despite all of that, these girls still doesn't get the opportunity to showcase THIS scale to the public. We Insomnias always say that DC is made for special stages/performances. If this is a regualr cb, can you imagine them on a year-end show? I just want these girls to get the recognition they deserve and work sooo hard for. Hopefully this year will be their year 🙏🏼🙏🏼

dami (the blue hair rapper) actually has one of the most wide vocal ranges on dreamcatcher and she can actually sing properly and hit high notes as well!

if you watch their live stage, when the bridge of the song came, all of them was glaring at jiu when she sang and i think thats so cool! someone says it means that they represents haters as to what jiu lyrics are at that time "why are you spending your time with hatred"-not accurate translation but something like that. and also yes to that flag hitting gahyeon part its kinda dangerous but i trust the dancers to not hurt her! i think every parts have a meaning and its cool when you watch it back understanding the behind meaning damn i love them and the dancers and the choreographer!!

Siyeon - who did the high note + vibrato also has done a whistle note in one of their previous songs (it was a song under their previous group name - Minx). She is ridiculously talented.
Dreamcatcher know how to use the stage very well and they also true performer atleast for me. They're really hardworking. Seeing their normal live stage was already like they perform on music award stage/ceremony, imagine how epic if they really got invited to perform on those stage. I bet my life, they gonna upgrade from their visuals, outfits to choreo. But SK just aren't ready for Dreamcatcher. They afraid Dreamcatcher gonna break their stage. Btw, i love your reaction and review.
If only you added a live stage reaction to this, I mean you can hear them sing so clearly, they are SOOO stable while dancing and Siyeon's live notes at the end are so good, especially live they are even hitting harder than when you listen to the song itself ^^

your comment about it being like an rtk performance is exactly what i thought when i saw it for the first time. if there’s a second season of queendom and dc isn’t on it, i will riot (although my chances of survival are pretty slim if they are on it, but that’s a sacrifice i’m willing to make)

4:13 literally Kpop left the chat. As the matter of fact, we do hear a lot of vibrato’s in kpop jeff. And it doesn’t sound weird at all. They are trained to sing and dance at the same time. Each company has trainers to train them how to sing, dance, breathing techniques etc. It’s KPOP, jeff, KPOP.

you'd be surprised that the MAIN DANCER on this group can also produce almost whistle note while playing around singing in a radio show.

That's why, if you can see their expressions at that part, they look like monsters or something evil that is ready to devour JiU (the one at the center).
I'm so glad you recognized SiYeon's abilities with regard to that vibrato... Most reactors just say; "wow, nice", and then move on... That doesn't do justice to her talent. Notice that she steps out of the choreo, plants her feet and then belts. She does it in the live show, admittedly, the vibrato isn't as strong, but, it's there . She is so talented and she's the reason Jiu and YooHyeon are lead vocals, in most gg they would be Main..., even SuA if given the chance to practice her control, but she focuses on dancing because I think she likes dancing more.
