Do you suggest to use a compressor during vocal recording to control the level of high and low (sthayi and antara) parts of a song?
Well you can use a compressor while recording if you have a hardware unit , but that not at all means killing the dynamics with heavy compression at that point , because you cant forget that will be irreversible. But yes, if you are doing it, than may be a little to just take down the peaks

@@arijitduttaofficial you can try warm audio, they makes clones .they are cheap and sound decent . Apart from that capi, BAE and heritage audio also are good ones .

Comping is not about singing songs in parts. It is about choosing the right portions from multiple takes . It is simply using technology to your advantage . Pehle ke dino mein to log land phone use karte they, but not anymore right . Simply because of advancement in technology. The purpose is still the same, the technology has changed !
