Did you know that Goomboss was the first character who first appeared in Paper Mario before his counterpart in the normal world? He should have been in Paper Jam.
Hutkovsky I consider the first 3 Paper Marios part of the, "real," Mario universe. Heck, Super Paper Mario had absolutely no correlation with paper at all! But hey, that's just how I see it...
What about the whole switch between 2D and 3D thing? Nintendo confirmed also that all 5 Paper Mario games are set in this book. I mean Toad Town looks completly different in Paper Mario than in the M&L series.
RKR I feel ya. Not just the Trio who retroactively appeared in Minion Quest, but also Goomboss & the Paper Buzzy Beetle, Paper Pokey, & Paper Cheep Cheep. Still, I like how you said Nintendo confirmed the existence of the Paper Mario Universe in the book. Actually, they confirmed that Paper Mario now takes places in an alternate universe.
But it makes no sense for the original 3 to not have some canon since they reference the main games and the main games have referenced or talen characters from Paper Mario like Goomboss. At worst, the first three Paper Mario games would be secondary canon.
Well Paper Mario has the ability to transform into the Paper Plane in Paper Jam which he learned to perform in TTYD so that proves that TTYD takes place in the same book as Sticker Star and Color Splash. And since PM64 and Super Paper Mario both connect very closely to TTYD it's save to assume that they take place in the book as well.

Well, to be fair, it's really rare for ANY Paper Mario OC to leave Paper Mario in the first place. The only other examples I can think of are the Star Spirits being the hosts of that one Mario Party game.
I miss Kammy Koopa... Also Shadow Sirens, Dooplis (And Duplighosts in general), Rawk Hawk, Bow, Jr. Troopa, Goombella, Goombario, Frankly, Kolorado, Kooper (I'm in the minority that prefers ol'Blue Shell over ol' Bandage Beak) Mz. Mowz, (her partner ability kinda sucked though, because in the first game it was a badge that triggered automatically upon entering a map), Tubba Blubba, Jolene, Prince Mush (wish we could see more of him, I wonder why they cut his optional boss fight, since it honestly makes no sense that he's nowhere to be found after he was ressurrected, and IIRC, an NPC mentions he was making a comeback, so I was honestly disappointed the title match was still Rawk Hawk when you return to the Glitz Pit)

I guess its because they used a few sounds from super Mario 64 and they used a regular goomba instead of goomboss since it would be using too many super Mario 64 things or they probably didn't think of it in the first place

Ikr. Giant goombas are kinda lame since they do the same thing as a normal goomba. King goomba ( or goomboss) can spawn multiple goombas and jump and move easter than normal goombas. Wish he could return

Whoever was playing the King Goomba fight in the Paper Mario clip missed the fact that you can attack the tree in the background to drop a nut from the tree to damage all three enemies...

The Star rush theme for Mega Goomba is my fav song, and would perfectly fit with any Goomba Boss fight.
Kinda nice that we don't actually hurt him either and he finishes the battle by chasing those butterflies.

Hard to believe that such a bad game as Sticker Star had the best Goomba battle
The 0:00 and 8:24 boss is actually called Fake Bowser. Also, you missed the Lost Levels version of the 0:00 fight, the All Stars remake to both aforementioned NES Fake Bowsers, and the Super Mario Bros 3/Super Mario Advance 4 Fake Bowser (accessible only only by e-Reader but dems the brakes). Layman’s terms is that you’re short the full Evolution by four Fake Bowser fights to my knowledge.
