Both Shinji Isoue and Hiroshi Okubo are legends. There’s a reason Namco still has them on standby… This type of music is the reason. Hoping to see them make a return to game composition soon
I haven't, this entire channel is unmonetized and always has been, in fact I'm pretty sure you can't even sign up for monetization until 1000 subs or something. Ads happen if the videos get claimed sometimes I think, but I don't think these ones ever have been? I'll look into why this one has ads as that's not right...
From their updated guidelines in 2020 that came into effect in 2021: "Second, ads can now appear on videos from channels not in the RUclips Partner Program (YPP), and we will begin gradually placing ads on brand safe videos. This is part of our ongoing investments in new solutions, like Home Feed ads, that help advertisers responsibly tap into the full scale of RUclips to connect with their audiences and grow their businesses." I think the Rage Racer videos have gotten enough views that RUclips has directly taken advantage and put ads for themselves, even though I'm not partnered for monetization. Not a fan of that. Seems like there's nothing I can do to stop it either.
Okubo was a blessing for Rage Racer and the entirety of Ridge Racer afterwards good LORD
