Thank you for revving it properly! So many people who do exhaust mods only rev it to like 2 or 3000rpm continuously, as if the low end grunt is all there is to sound. Personally it is when the bikes start to scream at the highest revs, that I feel they truly come alive and show their nature! So glad you redline'd it :D
Now that sounds nice. Also like the popping sound a lot when you rev it quick. Was looking at the ktm 390 Duke but I don't really like the sound most custom exhausts give on it (like yoshimura, akrapovic, Arrow). And at last someone who puts links to the parts in the description, thanks!
Not going to understate this. If you have a yoshi exhaust, even with the DB killer in... you will lose your hearing and develop tinnitus if you dont wear hearing protection. These are race exhausts not designed for daily use. If you are doing long trips with pipes like this, expect tinnitus and hearing damage to develop over time
Seconded, I set up my FZ-07 for touring and the bike came with a yoshimura exhaust installed when I bought it. It was dreadful riding this thing longer than 20 minutes on a straightaway. I had molded ear plugs and a balaclava on. At first I thought it was the wind screwing me up but once I added a really nice Magstad wind screen, the exhaust creeped up so ridiculously high in noise, it started to drive me absolutely bat shit insane. Now the bike sounds absolutely amazing with the aftermarket exhaust don't get me wrong but if you really value your hearing, wear your hearing protection!
Yeah no doubt it sounds like a different bike with the full system. Im speaking from experience, so I changed mine back to stock. Have had lingering thoughts of putting the Yoshi back on but am also waiting for molded earplugs coming in the mail in a few months. GoodEar is the company I chose for anyone who might be interested. Ride safe!! all the best
WHAT? SPEAK UP? Just bought one that came with it and I could definitely see it getting a little bit annoying. My neighbor definitely gave me the stink eye when I rolled in
This video has got you a subscriber for the simple fact that you redlined it! I've been looking for ages for people to redline it to see how nice it sounded and you my friend have done just that! 😊 keep uploading any other upgrades/parts you put on so I can follow and possibly do the same to mine if you like it 😊
Pretty good exhaust sound demonstration, I must say. Covers all the levels of engine workload and has the bike and microphone roughly in the same spot for both exhausts, which is important when comparing the two because of the sound levels. The bike is a little bit closer to the mic with the stock exhaust, but I'm not going to nitpick because it's generally hard to get a realistic impression of how loud any exhaust actually is from a video. But a nice trick when doing exhaust comparisons is to mark the spot on the ground with duct tape or something so you can always have the bike and mic at the same distance. Good job nonetheless! :)
+Nima Tech ABS is for emergency sitouations, how many of those have you had? When panicbreaking you want to have ABS trust me.. get a bike with abs or you will regret it some day
+Kung Cidro I've been in some panic situations and my back end came out a little, but then I just ease up on the rear brake and it straightens out again!
Great video. I think you have the best sounding one that I've heard so far. I'm guessing its because of the PC5 and tuning. But I'm curious - I have the white FZ as well and thinking about getting the stainless color pipe instead the carbon. Do you think there is a difference in sound? Let me know. Thanks!
No I think it would sound the same! But be careful because with stainless steal you are going to have to take good care of the exhaust pipe itself or else it will turn dark gray and a nasty color! I'll put a exhaust review video up sometime and show you what I'm talking about!
+Nima Tech So it's been a few months since you've had your Yoshimura. Have you had your exhaust turn dark grey on you like what you've mentioned? I'm getting a 2016 FZ-07 Delivered to me by the end of this month and I'm getting the same setup as you've got with the Yoshimura Full Exhaust system and the Power commander V.
+403RIDER yes and no. The chrome on the exhaust pipes are not that shiny anymore, they are more gray, but I heard that the gray will go away because it's just the wax burning off the exhaust pipes. I am not 100% sure if that is true or not.
+Nima Tech Hmm, perhaps a follow up video next time then to update us! Maybe Chrome cleaners will make your exhaust shiny again! I'm hoping that's the case because it looks so good shiny! haha!
Hm... I bought a $330 exhaust from Black Widow for my FZ07 , it sounds just as good as that , if not better , they claim it does not need a ECU flash after installation and it comes with the gaskets.. I don't understand why people spend $700 on an exhaust for a bike that costs 7000 new , if there are cheaper options ,which work just as well... And on top of that , they require you to flash the ECU or install a power commander , so you just paid 1/7 of the price of the bike for an exhaust. It's too much money , you may as well have bought a more expensive bike.
I just got the full system yoshimura on my fz-07 and if you are having a hard time choosing between the yoshi or akrapovic, just buy the yoshi. It sounds fucking amazing without the baffle in and it waaaaay cheaper than titanium akrapovic. Oh and install it yourself.
Well if you have the money... My dealership wanted $180 to install it and I thought that was too expensive So I put it on myself, all it is is a few nuts and bolts no problems. Hell If I lived near you I'd have done it for you for half the price.
Hey, how's with power? Torque? I hear ppl. saying that you can lose it a bit. Is that power commander solution for that problem? I'm thinking on getting me Akrapovic -for that price. With better sound You get a few HP and bit more torque. Most importantly, I think there is no need for anything else, like power commander. Hope so
+Alek Samson If you put a full exhaust system on any bike you are going to have to put a power commander to retune it. And no I did not lose torque. I'm not 100% sure it is because of my power commander or not, but I know it rides the exact same as before, if not better!
Nice bike bro, I’m looking into getting an FZ-07. I started on a Ninja 300 got bored and now I’m looking for something bigger and faster, I’d get a 600 supersport but it’s like paying for another car lol. Is the FZ07 fun? Fast? Do you still have it?
Yes, I still have it and yes it is very fun! I personally like the fz-07 a lot. I've topped it at 127, but not having a windscreen makes it very hard to go fast. It rides comfortably at 80 to 90 miles an hour no problem, but the wind makes it hard for the rider to be comfortable. But this all varies on which way the wind is facing. If it is with you, you can ride almost 100 no problem. If it is against you, you can barely ride 60 without almost falling off.
Went from Ninja 300 to FZ07. Perfect city bike other then the garbage buttons placement and the kill switch that murders your starter relay cause it sticks. Won't haul ass on the highway. Loses that grunt around 140kph/87mph can still pass up to about 180kph/111mph not much left after that. Have gotten up to about 210kph, but it takes awhile to get there and the wind isn't fun at that speed. Going to a MT09 soon though.
will do cheers!, I used to have an S650s I couldn't power wheelie that one although you could using the clutch. The 07 is slightly more powerful me thinks. I want that bike! thanks for the video.
Nima Tech Ah ok..to be honest Iæ'll be lucky if I'm able to afford the bike alone. I have an expensive operation coming and that messed up my entire plan for getting this bike ):. I don't want to take up a loan to buy it, but it seems like I'll have to do just that ):. Teh Acrapovic soudns really nice too..
Why do you need the power commander and the tune? I thought that the power commander accounts for the increased exhaust airflow and is sort of a tune in it of itself?
Memes XD you need the power commander or flash the ECU unless it won’t run right. If you don’t do this, you can end up decreasing HP by installing a aftermarket exhaust
Sick bike bro!! People say the FZ07 and Ninja 650 are Bikes to start out on because they are forgiving but at the same time you can grow into them, True or False??? I Know ultimately its all about respecting the Bike and Throttle control! Because there are people that do go straight to bigger 1000cc bikes, and also alot of these newer bikes are coming with Modes that help all Riders alike...know what I mean?? I seen someone buy a Ninja 636 and Drove it in the Rain mode and at the end of the Ride he said alot of the power was cut off and enough to where beginners could start on it. Honestly I think its how the person feels about the bike themselves.. . If there scared and they hop on a big bike, Knock on wood but there ride might not go so well... just saying!! But I do think the FZ07 and Ninja 650 would more than likely be great beginner bikes, because theres to many good reviews about them....Thats my opinion! !
+Marlon Davis (Chrome Federation) No it came in 2 pieces in the mail, and then I just gave it to the dealership and they installed the whole thing for me.
Hey, whats up! I bought the exhaust, and it will be here today! I also have the FZ07, and i was wondering any tips i can tell the mechanic for before, during or after the install??
Sorry i am getting to your comment late, but one thing you need to do is clean it very well with alcohol so it doesn't end up staining like mine did. I made another video about it, called long term review. go check it out.
After looking at the parts and looking at the system and looking at RUclips videos and not you start to feel after looking at the parts and looking at the system and looking at RUclips videos and not you start to feel like you got this!!
Alright cool. Thought about getting a white one, but now I ordered a new 2017 black one. Might end up removing the stickers even though they blend in better on the black one. Thanks for the answer.
mr you can decrease HP without a tune, it allows more air and fuel with the tune with an exhaust that doesn’t create as much back pressure as the stock exhaust. Could also prolong the life of your top end.
+Nima Tech awesome. I'll take a look for sure. Picking up a 2016 FZ next month. Justr trying to decide on color. Love the channel bud. Keep it up. Cheers from Toronto, ON.
legal in cali funny thing is I have mine straight piped so much louder than this and I'm in so cal never once got stopped by cops maybe just luck but this is definitely legal in cali
In the US? Pretty much none of them are. The DB level in my state is really quiet. Now I would check with others in your state and see how enforced it is. I run an akrapovic without a baffle and never had an issue with any officer even when being pulled over.
@@RichardSmith-ic1zw u can ride without license too i never got pull over, why pay money when u can learn to ride yourself XD its legal if u dont get caught
Yeah bro it was hell of expensive, but honestly I think it was worth it on the long run! But honestly I recommend just getting a slip on because they sound almost the same!
you can get away without them if your just doing an exhaust, but if you add a new intake or high flow filter you will need the power commander so that you get the right amount of fuel to air ratio or else your just damaging the bike at that point
what a toolbox...exhaust install is not usually too difficult, but often gets done poorly...leaks, broken studs, etc. I have no problem putting that responsibility on a competent mechanic for 235 bucks.
Dude you should work on your own stuff...........if possible. You'll save a lot of money and youtube vids and forums will help you out. Some people are too busy to do it though i understand
+james dean I tried watching a whole bunch of videos and stuff, but I just didn't want to mess anything up, and as serious as a full exhaust system I decided to just pay the price...
+Nima Tech in the future, please try to do most if not all the work yourself. It makes the connection between yourself and the bike more of an intimate bond. It's synonymous to sex; do you wanna watch a hot girl getting boned or do you wanna bone the hot girl yourself. I rest my case. No hating bro. Great pipe! Keep up the good videos and work.
Mad props on doing it right. The gear, the bike, the mods. Nice man.
+TRICITYERIC Thanks bro! It means a lot!
Best exhaust comparison video if seen so far, good job 👍

I hope you also install a high-flow air filter, doesn't make sense to have more are coming out if there's not more are going in
And either a day on the dyno or a map with a fuel controller
Nevermind I see he has one
You realise exhausts are mainly used for sound than to actually improve the performance?
Excellent video man. I have the SC Project on mine which also sounds pretty good!

In the US? Pretty much none of them are. The DB level in my state is really quiet. Now I would check with others in your state and see how enforced it is. I run an akrapovic without a baffle and never had an issue with any officer even when being pulled over.
sorrygtfo prolly not, just be smart and vigilant
Yes it’s legal if you don’t get caught
@@RichardSmith-ic1zw u can ride without license too i never got pull over, why pay money when u can learn to ride yourself XD its legal if u dont get caught
can you put the links of your FZ07 engine/bike protection.
i don't have any engine or bike protection
wait you have to pay to put on your exhaust bruv exhausts are one of the easiest things
What's the intro song
Interested but wanna know how they are in the long run
$1315 just to get the exhaust right?! damn dude.
Yeah bro it was hell of expensive, but honestly I think it was worth it on the long run! But honestly I recommend just getting a slip on because they sound almost the same!
+Nima Tech True, True. personally I love the M4 exhaust
+Old Smokey yeah me too! If I could go back I would have bought the M4 slip on
+Nima Tech
awready, If I could go back I would get this instead of my shadow haha
Fuck that sounds nice
Has much more growl now.
What gear are you wearing hit me up
i'm wearing a t-shirt....
Lol
Nima Tech Ya fohking squid mate
Is it street legal in California?
+Thiago Abreu the bike is street legal, but i'm not sure about the exhaust because of regulations.
i like it more than my fz09 exhaust. lol
I like the fz-07 better than the fz-09 in all ways
Sounds great. Expensive tho
if you install it yourself its not too bad
The retune and the power commander V are really necessary?! Sory 4 my ignorance
you can get away without them if your just doing an exhaust, but if you add a new intake or high flow filter you will need the power commander so that you get the right amount of fuel to air ratio or else your just damaging the bike at that point
The Yosh makes more power with the db killer in on that bike.
Alright sweet! Thanks for letting me know!
What’s your helmet?
You really payed 230 for exhaust installation...
Yeah now that I look back at it, I realize how stupid i was... lol
He pays his neighbour $30 to lube the chain. Not including labour.
what a toolbox...exhaust install is not usually too difficult, but often gets done poorly...leaks, broken studs, etc. I have no problem putting that responsibility on a competent mechanic for 235 bucks.
how tall are you bro?
6'1
What intake is that ?
song at the start??
+Annomaxiet Makonen money
$235 to install the exhaust! Wtf
Maybe it was the total
im 14 and i drive an fz07 but i just cant go anywhere with it except the gas station
Damn bro that sucks! Just be safe on it I recently got into an accident and it was terrible!
need more gym my friend ! xD
Why the hell do you care what he looks like? HA GAAAAAY
Jajaja really ? Comn ! We are bikers !! We Need muscle like our bikes jajaja
Put up or shut up. Lets see your ripped bod.

@@spencerjohnson5474 thanks brotha
that sounds mean AF
+Noel Thanks bro
+1Smoking Lizard lmao best answer
Honestly though that was a great answer...
buddy showed his address
Eyval Nima!!

I personally think my Arrow system sound better. But it may be better in real
+Dulf Nordensvärd Yeah it's just the Yoshimura Exhaust was the most heard one around, so I decided to get it
