Where is the setting for when a cup is tapered? I'm assuming thats the +/- above the circumference in the cylindrical menu, but those are greyed out.

to avoid laser strains to human eye. But on my older (90s) LS900 it's more brownish

there are threaded holes in the base plate. the machine only fits into the laser there. you really can't go wrong there.

When i go to the second tab of material adjustment, it keeps saying change plate orientation with an amber light. No matter how much i change the orientation, it still says to change the orientation.

hi why are you using the cermark spray with a Fibre laser thanks?

Typically, you would not use Cermark with a Fiber laser. However, you can use Cermark to provide a richer/deeper black mark if desired.
