This is a gretsch G2627T that is currently up for sale on Reverb. Run through a 1970 Fender Princeton clean for first half, then with TS808 and Analogman DS-1 near the end.
Was wondering what it would sound like finger picking as opposed to using a guitar pick... Very nice. I'm trying to transition to electric from playing acoustic for years!
Not really, it's a decent guitar for the money. You aren't going to get a lot of high-end appointments, the tuning stability was a little weak, and the pickups sounded a little thin to me, but overall it's a fantastic value for what you are paying for.
I know I’m 4 months late, but here’s how to describe it, with the four buttons on the bottom left corner, the top 3 control each pickup tone, first one is bridge, middle knob is middle, third knob is neck. Under those 3, there’s another knob, that’s the master tone knob. Then, way up towards the neck, that singular knob is the master volume knob. Now for the switches, when in playing position, the left switch is a standard Neck - Neck and Bridge - Bridge switch, the right switch is for the middle pickup. All the way up is middle only (it overrides the left switch, and it always only turns on the middle pickup), one down is “on” which adds the middle pickup to whatever else is on, then one click down is off. I hope this helps
Individual volume knob for each pickup. Master tone. Also Master volume so you can set a blended pickup mix the way you want it and have a single volume for it. 1 Bridge and neck standard three way switch and 1 dedicated three way middle switch. The middle switch only controls the middle pickup and can bypass(mute), blend, or isolate(mutes bridge and neck). You can precisely blend or isolate each of the pickups any way you can think of. I highly recommend it. Downsides are, in my opinion; it needs higher quality pots. For something that's meant to be fiddled with so much the pots it comes with are a bit lacking in precision. Believe it or not, changing knobs to ones with numbers was very helpful in that department. The tuners are just ok but they do the job. A little slack but ok. And it should be plain to see but it's very easy to strike the pickups when using a pick. I've gotten used to it but i can see that being a bother to a lot of people. The edge of the pickup is very smooth and rounded so i sort of flick the pick off the corner of the pickup to slap into the top string. Great guitar overall. Extremely versatile. Great as is but with plenty of room for customisation and upgrades.
@@Phoenix-yw9fo Hey thanks. This is very helpful as I have one of these on order. I know this may be tough one to answer but does having middle pickup on when 1st switch is set to Neck and Bridge have any effect. I have only played 2 pick up guitars and my preference generally runs to that position for best sound. Just wondering how that middle pick up affects things
@@marcvenet8601 So, think about the second switch like this: all the way up is middle only, in the middle means that it adds the middle pickup to whatever the first pickup selector has selected, and then all the way down means middle pickup off
Beautiful love it. Enjoyed your playing too

Hey man do you have any info on the what the switches and knobs are? I'm fucking clueless and there is zero documentation online
