Every child needs love and support it honestly doesn't matter what age of development they are at. These kids have seen the worst of life and just need someone to show them that they can make the best of it. I'd argue that this is one of the most crucial ages for having a family in their corner, cheering them on. Especially being that she soon will have to become a functioning member of society and enter adulthood. Sure, the foster system has unlimited resources but they do nothing to ensure that the neglected and abused children they are raising continue to flourish as an adult. I hope she finds a family that will fight for her and see to it that she becomes an upstanding citizen when she grows up.
