What a wonderful interview. I can’t imagine the life lessons to be learned from Gene and all of our veterans. What joy Gene must have to claim 73 years of marriage.

I'd like to share a message with Eugene. I've had to space out watching this amazing interview to make it last as long as possible. His service and the sacrifice of his friends made it possible for my family to come to the USA and make a new life. If they had not, who knows what the Nazis would have done. My family is Jewish as well, I cannot express how eternally grateful I am for him and everything he did and everything all the WW2 vets did.
Thank you for your channel Rishi

I could talk to these guys for days. Ive never met a better group of men in my life. My grandfather by blood was a ww2 sherman tank commander. My grandfather was one of only 10 tank commanders in his group to survive. I have ALOT of german personal items my grandfather kept. The stories i heard from my gramps and his friends were insane! I have the moat respect for any serivce members but, these men were a different breed all together.

I appreciate hearing firsthand about the War in Italy. My pap was there, 5A 409AA, and he said during Cassino the casualties were so bad they made him a stretcher bearer. He said there were times there were so many casualties you could walk across them going up that mountain

Rishi the link in this video description to your website is incorrect. It's sending to an Indonesian game site? Don't know what happened there. You may get a nice pick-up on your channel, I just saw the story about your channel on the news. I'm sure many will be looking for your channel now. The news didn't really provide an actual link rather just flashed an image of your channel headline very quickly. It's nice to see this kind of work coming from someone of your age too! Congratulations & Thank you! 👍

The modern world is faced with a multitude of difficult adversities, just like the generation before. I like to believe that when the time comes, we will still have the gumption to rise up to what is perceived to be right. May God help us when that discernment comes.

Rishi, I think you are doing a great service interviewing these Vets. If you are going to continue this you have to "up your game" . Your loud yelling across the room at your subject is VERY annoying. Try sitting next to your subject conversing in a normal tone conversation. I think you will be much better served being more intimate with your guest.

Another thing to add, I didn't think he was hollering, this guy could hear really well Especially for a late 90's guy and firing that BAR all the time as a combat vet around grenade's mortars and artillery.

The focus is the veterans, I think he’s purposefully trying to not be in frame. Also, just thinking practically, he’s old lol, and old people are hard of hearing. It may just be bothering you? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Why would God bless soldiers for killing each other when God said that people should not kill each other but they are supposed to love each other God's way. Killing is a sin. Wars exist because sinful world misleaders start wars for the devil for his destruction of God's creation.
