I've owned one for 8 years now and it keeps on going. It is great for living in an apartment to circulate air. I run my fan 16 hours straight for four, five months during the summer. I do notice a performance decrease over time, maybe due to age of the motor.
Lasko makes outstanding fans. I own an 18 inch Lasko tower fan that is around 10 yrs old. It's mostly plastic and the remote stop working years ago but the fan itself is in terrific shape. I keep that baby running almost 24/7!
Here is a tip: the bolt that attaches the fan uses a 10mm hex bolt. I cut the head of the bolt off and made it into a set screw. It reduced the wobble of the fan blade quite significantly. They should use a set screw at the factory and save a penny on omitting the head. I never have heard someone that is so passionate about a fan as this vid; to each his own.
Love this fan too. My fans weren't noisy tho. Just cleaned one, and AFTER i cleaned it, it was noisy. But i love the fan, it's great, as you said "moves a lot of air!!"

Hey, I'm kind of a fan nerd. The louder it is, the better I sleep. Just got mine from A. You know what company. They have their own delivery vans now. It came in good new condition. Thing is, I have these psycho dirtbag neighbors one floor down. They are constantly getting toxic fumes into my unit. Really offensive. I aimed this at the bathroom door. Its going to pull all of that crap out of my main living space. It's also assisting the a/c which is only on fan only mode. Sounds like a single prop plane. Lol. Nice privacy bonus that comes with the operation. Enjoy! I like it!
How is this fan holding up for you during the summer? It's already starting to be 90+ degrees here. I plan on running it on the highest setting in my room. I saw this model on Walmarts website.
@@FansandCars noise is never a concern for me. I game and watch television with a pair of headphones. Plus the sound is soothing for me when I'm trying to sleep.
It opens like a stand fan, there's tabs around the perimeter of the cage, after that you remove the blades with a large philips driver, pretty self explanatory
These fans will make ur house way colder. Saves you a lot of money I can keep my AC 4° higher with this fan on low. Medium and high setting are too much for me

I love it. It’s very loud but I love loud fans. I can fall asleep with it on low or medium.
