- Remember Henry's secret audio log in Bendy and the Ink Machine Chapter 3? Remember the mysterious woman known as Linda mentioned in that recording? To this day we still do not know who Linda is and what role she played in Henry's story within BATIM. What if by the "new character people are gonna love", he modeled alice off of linda? A lot of artists find inspiration in the real world. And it doesn't really seem like bendy would be seen as a "new character" seeing as he's the protagonist of the cartoons.

Awesome Job Mike as always. I believe Linda is either his wife or child. Being away from either can cause strain. Being a parent myself I tend to favor the child theory more than wife. But to each there own.

I have a crazy theory that might not be true. What if Linda was turned into the bendy creature or "ink demon" that keeps chasing the player in the game? That would be so sad and messed up. But then again it is an out there idea

Ok, guys, remember before chapter 5 there were the “?” Videos? Well in one of those Henry says in an audio log “Linda, I love you.” This seems that Linda is either Henry’s love interest, or maybe a relative that he’s really close to.

Wow, awesome theory about Linda being the wife/child, that really makes a lot of sense. I had always thought she was a coworker, and the reason why he had not see her for days was that she was in one of Joey's earliest experiments.

WAIT A MINUTE. I have a little theory...what if Allison Angel actually IS’NT Allison Pendle? And IS Linda, Henry’s partner. In Henry’s audio log, he mentions Joey takes more rather than gives and then proceeds to take only a bit not seeing Linda in a while. From there, we could say that Henry was lending Joey Linda just so she can maybe work or get used to the studio for a day or two but ended up not coming back BECAUSE Joey had already inked her into Allison Angel which is why Henry says he has’nt seen Linda in a while AND Linda is called Allison Angel only because Allison Pendle did not show up the day the workers were inked which explains why she doesn’t have an audio log till (maybe) Chapter 5 and instead, Joey used Linda as a replacement which explains why she is called Allison and because it refers to the cartoon Alice Angel’s 2 voice actors but hey, THATS JUST A THEORY.

It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure the ink machine would exist 'two weeks' into the company. Also, Alice angel surely didn't exist back then. Susie had been working for 2 months before Alice was created and even if she was there from the start it's impossible. Linda might be an ink creature though...

These are all great theories, but like you said the more likely one would be Henry's wife/girlfriend or daughter. And I never even thought to think of the wheelchair image as connected to Henry instead of Joey. And that thought got me thinking what if this whole game is a product of Henry's guilt of choosing his career over his family? You know sorta like the Silent Hills game. And like Henry's life is in shambles now and then he receives that letter from Joey and so he goes back to confront the very place that destroyed his life. But in doing so, he goes a bit nuts blaming this cartoon character Bendy for the source of all his troubles, but in the end the only one to blame is himself. Well that's just the theory I compounded from your theories on Linda. I wonder what chapter five will tell us.
Spoiler alert chapter 5 came out and linda is Henry's daughter(probably)

4 years later since I watched this video, chapter 5 and batdr have been released and still, no answers nor the game ever mentions Linda nor she makes an appearance, but this was inside of my mind after watching the full gameplay of batdr

I'm going to say that linda is a co-worker and partner and this is how it played out
Henry met a girl name linda who worked in joey drews place (sorry can't spell) and went missing for a few days because she was on break (for a reason i can't think) and henry wasn't told she was on break but anyway after a few years working there linda and henry fell in love and left to be together and now 30 years passed and most likely linda is rather too busy to be with henry or they broke up or she died and that maybe drived henry to go back to see joey and the old factory
I don't know if this is true but that's what I think happened or maybe they had a child and got married and rather linda died getting birth or they broke up and that's why henry never says anything about linda now like "I miss linda" or "I wonder how linda is doing"

No, Henry accepted to go to the old studio because he got a letter from Joey Drew, and Henry fell victim to Joey, being apart of the ritual too, and if Linda was a co-worker, she’d be a victim to Joey Drew too, and die, becoming probably the miner searcher or some important mini-bosses in the game..
Idk if she can be dead, because in one of Henry's 3 audio logs published on the Joey Drew Studios YT channel he says how much he misses her, so it might mean he was in the studio very long, pr they were very close.

Somehow I think that Linda is the new character Audrey who was invited to the studio by Joey Drew after her husband left this was actually a part of Joey’s plan to make his and Henry’s creations come to life he used his charm to convince Linda to partake in the experiment similar to what he did to Susie.

We probably won't ever confirm this but i seriously hope that Linda being the reason Henry left wasn't because she made him choose between work and their relationship but because she encouraged him to stand up for himself and tell Joey out.
Relationships take time and it's understandable that lack of time together caused Linda to be mad at the situation but it would be so much healthier if Linda was supportive of Henry's career and dreams, but found it very unfair how poorly her husband was being treated.

There could always be the chance that Linda is bendy seeing how it's trying to reach for Henry and being the first failed project she lost her soul.
Mike, when chapter 5 comes out, you do know that some of your theories might be wrong. So make sure you don't go over.
Theories are often wrong, not just mine but anyone who makes theories will get stuff wrong. That's not really the point of them, their more about logical discussion for fun while we wait for real answers from the creators. Sometimes they will be on point and other times way off, but it's about the journey not the destination :P

Maybe Linda was Henry's co-worker, who later developed a relationship with him. When Henry says, "I haven't see Linda in weeks", he could be referring to her sudden absence, which may have a connection with the Ink Machine. She may also be the owner of the weel chair. And if thats the case...

Out of everything, it’s most likely Linda is a family member of some sort. He talks about Linda as if she’s of the most important people on earth, which could also be that there was only one member, because if there were two people, he would have mentioned more or would have given a different tone.
With the achievement, an old friend would be Joey, the letter given does word it in a way or says that they’re ‘friends’

This always just breezed past me before. The way Henry talks about Linda makes it sound like she is his wife. I just assumed she was, and I am assuming that most people thought that too. I didn’t even know who Linda was when I saw the title to this video, I had to figure it out and remember who Linda was.
