The City of Glendale really needs to rethink their position on the Coyotes, and work to having them stay in this facility. With an empty arena, this will be a HUGE eye sore on the entire Westgate complex. Yes, I know they say it will be for concerts. But most of your big name bands play at the Indian casinos, Cricket Pavillion, Suns Areana, Chase Field, Dodge Theater or Cardinals Stadium. Do you see where I am going with that Glendale? Bands have waaaaaayyyyy too many venues to choose from to select your empty (probably not kept up) hockey arena as the venue for their concert setting. Glendale has a really good thing going right now, don't drop the ball on allowing the Coyotes to leave. You have 2 of the 4 major teams in your city, YOUR CITY of Glendale. Ask any city in the country if they would LOVE to be the home of 2 major sports team. Most cities would die to have 1 team, much less 2. Stop and really think about what you are doing, and the revenue that will be lost because of this decision. Ask yourself this very basic question, do you really want them to leave? And if so, what is your reasoning. Put your pride aside, and renegotiate a deal. The West Valley could be the place to be in Arizona, if you just make the right decision.
