It’s a wonderful natural insect repellent. Growing it on your windowsill will help keep mosquitoes away. It only becomes an issue when non-indigenous use it in smudging rituals :) Another issue I forgot to mention is conservation. Wild white sage is being overharvested due to cultural appropriation. And it depends from tribe to tribe. Some say it’s closed practice but others don’t. It’s best to err on the side of caution when dealing with cultural things I am open to hearing other people’s perspectives on this topic :]

If you value people fitting into your ideas of what “normal” is more than how much bullying truly effects kids then you need to do some serious work. The bullying I have experienced still effects my insecurities today and it’s set back my ability to be happy and comfortable in who I am by a lot. Yep. There’s people with delusions and hallucinations roaming the streets of my town because my town cut funding for the mental health services about 15 years ago. Everyone’s quick to go “they’re a crackhead” but a lot of these folks have mental health issues and were dumped out by their families. And yes, many of them have turned to drugs and alcohol. Instead of mental health and services for homeless and people struggling with addiction my town has been using tax dollars to “beautify the town” it’s ridiculous Like there’s a homeless man I see who has conversations with the people he sees in his hallucinations. The guy needs help. The women’s section of the county jail has been closed because the conditions are a legit biohazard. There’s homeless families with children in need of shelter but noooooo let’s waste 2 million dollars in taxes to make the sidewalk wider and plant flowers everywhere. I hate this town’s leaders

24:07 POTS Rep!!!! its wild i used to do burpees for fun when I was younger and then feel awful the day later and as i aged things got worse and all that bc i was untreated and undignossed until my teens. i legit did not know for the longest time, like until my mom got her similar diagnosis, that blacking out practically every time you stood up wasn't normal. like for most people it happens like maybe once a year??? and i thought everyone also had terrible pain when walking lol. like i thought everyone felt like they were walking on knives when they had to be on their feet for more than 20 minuits like that. its still so wild to me that i thought for almost my whole life that everyone sat at around a 6-7 on the pain scale when they stood for long periods of time and i was just being a cry baby and "weak" or something. don't get me started the fatigue either, out of the house for half the day(like 3-4 hours) and needing a 2-4 hour nap? i thought i was being a baby but no! anyone else with an expirance feel free to share it, and if you don't want to, know you aren't alone

I love trying to explain to people how my love of art shapes my perception of the world. When I hear music, jingles, sounds, my first thought is how I could sing it. How can I better appreciate this world by mimicking it? The same goes for drawing. I get lost in the shapes of people. I love drawing faces and I spend so long looking at them and appreciating the small things, wrinkles, texture, fuzz. I figure, if I don’t draw it then how will people see it themselves? Fanart is my love language. I have spent years of my life staring at things, wondering how I’d replicate its shadows and reflections. Art is beautiful

The thing is too- wasn't grover canonically poc? Also I was kinda mad about the casting too at first- until I realized that Annabeth's struggles with there being a very stupid but also rarely ever believed stereotype that blonde girls are stupid- Didn't really contribute anything to her character-nor did it actually give her something to struggle with society wise. Meanwhile, black girls go thru the struggle everyday of being oppressed- dealing with with their hair being discriminated, their looks, having a higher count of cold cases and missing, always being told no matter what they do they will never be good enough to be considered a woman or even considered a person. That gives Annabeths character more strength than just being blond.

[Slight rant] Last night ו had to wash the dishes and ו always get super overwhelmed when doing them (throbbing headache, verge of tears) because my family apparently has *no* idea how to clean up after themselves. For example, just last night in the sink ו found: - 2 (two) open aluminum cans with sharp edges (ו didn't get hurt but still) - an empty bag of cheese and broccoli rice - a severely cracked, UNFINISHED bowl of cat food - a scrap of parchment paper. Hey all, what do you think of the term “hypochondriac” because I’ve been called that before but there’s a lot of things I feel like I need to get checked out for that could also be other things but there’s stuff I have no explanation for (random muscle twitches, which is a symptom of scoliosis but the pain in my back could also be from my posture being that of a shrimp) and stuff.
I think it’s very rarely applicable. There’re so many physical things (and mental, obviously) ppl have to deal with, its hard to get an actual diagnosis. TW: unsolicited advice A historical corset is amazing for back pain. It is an elitist item, that’s why there are A LOT of chronically ill and disabled people in the costube (costume + RUclips) community, trying to make their own. I’ve been making mine since may 2020, and have gotten enough use of two samples this year. Ask me any questions if you’re curious I’ve been getting osteopathy treatment (it’s the least painful one I’ve tried) on and off since 2021, and the minor symptoms like twitches are gone unless it’s the exams season or something (and I’m doing way more than my body can handle). Magnesium(!) helps, too, but I’m allergic so it’s a love-hate relationship. Deep-tissue massage doesn’t work, only the ones where they barely touch you (neuro sedation, I think?) If you see a chiropractor, run for the hills. If anyone suggests manipulating your neck in any way, run for the hills, the side effects are no joke at all And if you’re suspecting anemia, note that standard blood tests don’t include ferritin and it’s a fairly common deficiency I wish you all the strength and resources 💚 and cake 🍰

Osteopathy is a treatment where a doctor places their hands on different strategic spots on your body and just does nothing, it seems. It allows room for charlatans, but I’ve been very lucky with the majority of my osteopathy experience (especially when they elevated my heinous chronic leg cramps) As for corsets, start by watching Bernadette Banner and her friends. You’ll need to know the theory before you attempt, especially since there’s tons of misinformation. Then you can google how to draft a corset pattern (and the tutorial I’ve used is currently only available in Spanish, I’ll look for a link). There are also a few tutorials on corsets for amab bodies on Foundations Revealed (the most popular reconstruction source), behind a paywall *and* you can subscribe like three weeks out of a year. I think the fee was between 20-30$ in December 2021. Then you need to be mentally prepared to make many samples, cause it takes professionals 5-6 to get the fit right. Absolutely do a busk closure, my back could not handle putting it on over the head (I experience pretty severe pain in uncomfortable positions; still, it’s a good idea to have a garment you can slip in and out of in a toilet cubicle). My boning is metal (duh) spiral (mostly used for sports corsets and curved seams), but I’m thinking of doing a combination of both flat and spiral this time around. I’m also ordering a second busk so that I can remain in my current sample as I’m working on the new one lol My magnesium allergy comes in a rash on my legs, which is not a big deal compared to the usual way I get allergies (mouth, throat and respiratory). Surprisingly, I’m not as allergic to the same brand that comes in liquid form, but I haven’t really tested it out since it comes in a glass tube that you have to break on both ends and my hands are too shaky for me to do it on a daily basis 🙃 you should really ask your doctor, get a blood test perhaps? 🧁🧁🧁

I use KT tape under my binder for a more "natural" shape. Turns boobs into moobs, but only if you have enough fat to make it look natural. Good luck, you also may want to look into different options like a tank top binder.

I got it out of the parking lot and took it home so nature can do her thing in my backyard. Cars would’ve just kept running over it and it would’ve been unsightly in the parking lot. I love trying to explain to people how my love of art shapes my perception of the world. When I hear music, jingles, sounds, my first thought is how I could sing it. How can I better appreciate this world by mimicking it? The same goes for drawing. I get lost in the shapes of people. I love drawing faces and I spend so long looking at them and appreciating the small things, wrinkles, texture, fuzz. I figure, if I don’t draw it then how will people see it themselves? Fanart is my love language. I have spent years of my life staring at things, wondering how I’d replicate its shadows and reflections. Art is beautiful

Meanwhile, black girls go thru the struggle everyday of being oppressed- dealing with with their hair being discriminated, their looks, having a higher count of cold cases and missing, always being told no matter what they do they will never be good enough to be considered a woman or even considered a person.

Last night ו had to wash the dishes and ו always get super overwhelmed when doing them (throbbing headache, verge of tears) because my family apparently has *no* idea how to clean up after themselves. For example, just last night in the sink ו found:
- 2 (two) open aluminum cans with sharp edges (ו didn't get hurt but still)
- an empty bag of cheese and broccoli rice
- a severely cracked, UNFINISHED bowl of cat food
- a scrap of parchment paper.
It didn't help that my mother was yelling at everyone about how we don't do any work around the house.

A historical corset is amazing for back pain. It is an elitist item, that’s why there are A LOT of chronically ill and disabled people in the costube (costume + RUclips) community, trying to make their own. I’ve been making mine since may 2020, and have gotten enough use of two samples this year. Ask me any questions if you’re curious
I’ve been getting osteopathy treatment (it’s the least painful one I’ve tried) on and off since 2021, and the minor symptoms like twitches are gone unless it’s the exams season or something (and I’m doing way more than my body can handle). Magnesium(!) helps, too, but I’m allergic so it’s a love-hate relationship. Deep-tissue massage doesn’t work, only the ones where they barely touch you (neuro sedation, I think?)
If you see a chiropractor, run for the hills. If anyone suggests manipulating your neck in any way, run for the hills, the side effects are no joke at all
And if you’re suspecting anemia, note that standard blood tests don’t include ferritin and it’s a fairly common deficiency

Osteopathy is a treatment where a doctor places their hands on different strategic spots on your body and just does nothing, it seems. It allows room for charlatans, but I’ve been very lucky with the majority of my osteopathy experience (especially when they elevated my heinous chronic leg cramps)
As for corsets, start by watching Bernadette Banner and her friends. You’ll need to know the theory before you attempt, especially since there’s tons of misinformation. Then you can google how to draft a corset pattern (and the tutorial I’ve used is currently only available in Spanish, I’ll look for a link). There are also a few tutorials on corsets for amab bodies on Foundations Revealed (the most popular reconstruction source), behind a paywall *and* you can subscribe like three weeks out of a year. I think the fee was between 20-30$ in December 2021.
Then you need to be mentally prepared to make many samples, cause it takes professionals 5-6 to get the fit right. Absolutely do a busk closure, my back could not handle putting it on over the head (I experience pretty severe pain in uncomfortable positions; still, it’s a good idea to have a garment you can slip in and out of in a toilet cubicle). My boning is metal (duh) spiral (mostly used for sports corsets and curved seams), but I’m thinking of doing a combination of both flat and spiral this time around. I’m also ordering a second busk so that I can remain in my current sample as I’m working on the new one lol
My magnesium allergy comes in a rash on my legs, which is not a big deal compared to the usual way I get allergies (mouth, throat and respiratory). Surprisingly, I’m not as allergic to the same brand that comes in liquid form, but I haven’t really tested it out since it comes in a glass tube that you have to break on both ends and my hands are too shaky for me to do it on a daily basis 🙃 you should really ask your doctor, get a blood test perhaps?
