dude how fast have you had your twister rig no bs Noone has an answer. I ain't buying unless I know. and the prop mount looks sketchy what's up with it.
In my 14ft jon boat I have gotten around 10 mph and that is with zero gear and and two 140lb guys in it, solo in my 12ft I have gotten around 13mph. Speed is not a factor that anyone can guarantee because every boat and is different and the load on each boat will be different with the size of people.
So it's slow and not as fast as a true long tail. I know there are obvious factors but if I'm only going to get 5 or 6mph it ain't worth it. And on a light riveted jon there should only be 4 to 5 mph difference in speeds between boat styles. Not a noon to boats or mud motors just this design. Thanks
+red dog How does the prop look sketchy exactly? It's threaded on to the end of a shaft with an inch of 5/8"-11 thread. We''re getting anywhere from 8-15mph on un modified motors, which is exactly the same as the 5-7hp long tail kit gets, depending on load and boat size. The Twister is for small motors. If you're looking to do 20mph...this isn't the unit for you.
In your opinion is twsiter or standard long tail a better option
muffler fall off?
do you think the 6.5 hp twister is faster than a 6.5 hp long tail? I see it has a 3 blade prop.
Andrew Xavier?
