Pashmeena, don't be so gullible! You're stereotyping! Surely, you're too smart to fall for such nasty media propaganda! I love Trump, and I'm one of the nicest people I know! 😆😏
Hello Marie-lys Chambraud, is there any chance you can tell me what the meaning of the word clarins is? I study French and I had never listened to it, I actually looked for it in dictionaries but I found nothing which made me think it may be a name.
I’m Italian and I want to let you know that Versace is mispronounced, it’s not Versacee, it’s Versaceh. There’s a video where Donatella Versace herself tells that she can’t stand when Americans pronounce it Versacee. Great video btw :)
Grazie al cielo ho trovato sto commento hahahah ormai tanto è una causa persa, nemmeno Donatella riesce a far cambiare sta pronuncia agli stranieri :')
I love your approach to your videos! You are very excited and open to learning and are so kind and warm to everyone you encounter. Keep up the great work!
Your pronunciation of L'Occcitane is on point💯 Also .. BCBG in French means Bon chic, Bon genre so it's a well thought brand name 😊 Love the video and your energy 🔥
@schaedel martin Thats not how pronouncing something the right way works, versace is italian hence it has to be pronounced italian a.k.a the right way, theres no english pronunciation when it comes to brand names, for example *cartie* it's french but a shit ton of americans say cardi-e even though it's *car-tee-ay* with the r rolled in the back in your throat
your communication skills are besti have watched many other videos but what attract towards you is simplicity and much better communication skills.....really love that smile over your face
I feel a good amount of locals struggle to pronounce a lot of the brands here. I’ve lived in the states for decades and still mix up some of the brand pronunciations.
the best thing about u is that u never force to anyone to watch any video, u just say in the beginning that "if u r interested plz continue" and that's the thing i really like about you dear.
Super Cute Video! And you are so genuine, and “down-to-earth”! (A very good thing to be, just look it up!) As an avid shopper, I can tell you that many employees at these outlet stores don’t use the correct pronunciation of their own store brand! And a really, really good place to shop if you want great deals on luxury brands is any thrift store! Because truly wealthy people love to shop and they don’t give their stuff to all their rich friends! And they don’t keep clothing until it looks worn, they get rid of it at the end of the season even if they’ve hardly or have never worn it. I’ve gotten like new looking UGG boots for $20, Lululemon jackets and tops for $2-5, Ralph Lauren clothes with dry-cleaning tags still attached - $4-8, Christian Loubotin, Stuart Weitzman, Gucci, Coach, Hilfiger, BCBGMaxazria, I just got a beautiful Cole Haan Lambskin car coat that’s a couple years old, perfect condition that’s currently $800 at Nordstrom’s for only $40!!! Leather feels like butter! Thrifting is like going on an adventure - and you never know what is waiting for you!!! Fun time with friends!! Good luck - You’re doing a wonderful job online!
every new video is better than the last!! my english is still a big disaster but im working hard every day and your videos are helping me a lot!! thank you marina!!! saludos desde Denver, colorado:)
Thank you! I've loved this video! The correct pronounce is VERSACE and not VERSACI because is an Italian Surname. Obviously the english version is different ( the same for french worlds). I like to try to pronounce every brand with the correct name in the origin language but as you said if you want to be understood on the place, you have to " adapt" a little the pronounce.
Thank you so much for this video. You are always awesome . Tommy is my brand and pronounce like Figre with upper I . Anyway, keep up good job. Thank you again .
Well, 'couch' and 'coach' are two different words... 5:43 exactly! :D 'Coach' can also be Economy Class in aviation and a person who trains a sports team.
Привет Мария😀👋👋 Could you PLEASE PLEASE make another video with you talking about the language learning courses abroad of your company (how much pocket money I should have with me ?, will someone be with me until I reach the people that I'll be living with?, how long does it take to travel after I book the course? ETC... ) ?
U r the coolest youtuber I've ever seen . Bcoz ur content is soo appreciable. I've never watched the video of pronouncing brand names . And it is so helpful for many people around all over the world . Bcoz brand names are soo confusing for many people out there. Love from india .
Versace is actually pronounced Versacay (as though you are saying the letter a) but many Americans mispronounce it I just learned recently that’s not how donatella pronounces it also BCBGMaxAzria should be pronounced BCBG and then Max Azria because it is his name but all lumped together it is confusing to read this was a great video though!!!
Well, no, it's not pronounced Ver-SAH-chee but Ver-SAH-tchey. In Italian the syllable "ce" in Versace would sound like tch in waTCH and e in Ever = (wa)TCH+E(ver).
Nike, Inc. (official, US: /ˈnaɪki/; also, non-US /naɪk/) - I am not sure is asking Americans to pronounce foreign brands names is a good idea ; D don't forget they tend to think something is right only because it is done that was in the US : )
Actually, Nike brand was invented in the U.S. by American Phil Knight who still owns the company. He was a track runner at the University of Oregon and wanted to create a better athletic shoe for runners in the 1970's. It's actually a Greek name for the ancient goddess of winged victory, Nike. In ancient Greek it's pronounced Neekay, using English phonetics. Names such as Nicolas and Nicodemus come from Nike. Nicodemus or Nikodemos means victory of the people. Phil Knight just Anglicized the pronunciation. This happens in all languages. Americans don't care if people pronounce American brand names differently in other countries as long as they can communicate effectively when they travel to those countries. I hope this makes things clearer.
Converse, when it means to have a conversation is pronounced the way you said it at first with the accent on the last syllable, but the shoe company is pronounced with the accent on the first syllable.
All speakers of languages do this. Ever hear the French pronounce German last names? Like Dominique Straus-Kahn as Strosse-Kahn because the AU in French has an O sound. It's just a human phenomenon. Yes, I'm American myself but I've studied foreign languages enough to know that not just Americans or native English speakers do this. I once heard the 90's pop singer Dido say the word Taco as Tack-O. I couldn't believe it. It's a Mexican Spanish word and no American ever pronounces it that way. Ok, maybe you can see that American's pronunciation of foreign words doesn't really have much to do with any cultural chauvism or arrogance. All the Best from California!
Levi Strauss was born in Germany. Eventually, years later, he moved to California. The exact pronounciation of his first name is LEVI (the "e"of left).
Wow! U really went from diff stores there in ur place, nice evry brand name has their own store. really??
IT's called Ver--sa--ch
it's pronounced as Versacha right?
VersacE with the last E as the One After the V
It's Versace, the last -ce is pronounced che like Che Guevara, so Ver-sa-Che
Hello Marina, You are really amazing to tell the correct pronunciation of these 17 brand names of different countries, mostly from. USA
I’m Turkish and just learn that L’occitane pronunciation is “Loksitan” but I knew as “Lokateyn”although I use this brand’s creams😁Thanks Marina❤️
Noun- stress in the first syllable
Verb-stress in the second syllable
CONverse 🙂
And the verb, converse?
@@compulsivecommenter990 Second syllable.
It's Converse though u say it as an action to speak with which is wrong on ur part !
I love your content
Versace was said wrong.
Not "Versachee"', it's "Versach-eh" 🖤
Kaitlynn M it's versachee
Kaitlynn M so difficult
Priyanshi Negi Versace posted video on Instagram saying that “Versach-eh” is the correct way to pronounce their brand name
