I loved playing this game on my PS1 back in the day . Hours upon hrs learning the units & movement & action pts for each. Your playthrough makes me want to dig out my PS1 again or see if they have a win 7 or 10 version for pcnow. Thanks for the look back at a great game. Reminds me of my endless hrs playing Vietnam on my Comm 128 where i would play for days 7 nights & not eat & family would keep trying to force feed me food because i played so much .
Really liked this game. Practically wore it out. However, those graphics. Ooh my eyes!? Anyone hear anything about the release date for Panzer Corps - Pacific? Been a long time.
I suggest you get at least 1 flak 88 air defence unit. Allies will destroy your ground forces with mass air power. As for replacements, depending on the terrain your in it will reduce both resupply and replacements. Open ground is full rough is reduced. The sub can only be attacked by a tactical bomber if using air. Your JU88 can only attack surface ships, not subs. I have to wheel back my memory to the old days as I'm playing Panzer Corps 2 theses days and it is so different from the original.
Yes that is awesome thank you brother...by the way you should do more planes as core units...winning the war in the sky and being able to support your ground troops is key for quick victories...you can get rid of the recon cars and you dont really need 4 artillery as core units so youd have enough space for planes...with more planes you would be much more effective also against ships...also inalways found having 1 anti air in the core units pretty useful...at least ypu can defend your arty or other important units with it...anyway i hope you continue soon...
If your Luftwaffe (Air Force) is superior you can short-cut the scenario by sending Fallschirmjäger's (paratroopers) to the furthest away victory objectives.
@@fars8229 yes you could do that too...paratroopers open some interesting tactical options in the game thats for sure i just never bought them because they are pretty expensive and in the end are just infantry and in this game im not a big fan of infantry...i mean you need some for sure but i always thought having 4 or 5 of the normal ones was good enough and that way having more prestige for the Luftwaffe and for Panzers but there is several different ways to achieve victory in most of the scenarios my playstyle was just always very Panzer and Luftwaffe focused (like 4 or 5 fighters, 4 or 5 Stukas or tactical bombers and 1 or 2 strategic bombers rest mostly tanks with 4 or 5 normal infantry, 1 AA and 1 or 2 normal arty)...i really liked to win the war in the sky asap because it helps alot when you can support your ground units with planes and when you have enough fighters you dont need to repair them that often because the enemy cant hit back as much at his turn...

yea!
Its an odd thing with the figthers, they are super taxed in the beginning of the battle and then you find yourself not knowing what to do with them.
Also check out panzer marshal. Exactly like allied general and you get different campaigns

I always preferred the scale of PZ1. PZ2 was fine and all, but the scale was much smaller.

You need fighters. You can use these core slots.
if you built up your Army to take Moscow. You should have no problem winning in North Africa, Herr General
Oh gosh. It's so painful to watch. You need training. 😂
