We should start a petition or fundraiser to get the 6 hour version released outside of Japan! I found one on eBay, but it's all Japanese with Japanese subs, so unwatchable for those of us who can't speak or read Japanese :(.

This is one of the movies that made me cry like a baby. Great plots, great actors (Hikari Mitsushima is my dream girl), and great kickass soundtracks. Have already rewatched it 3 times so far
I recently watched the making-of and I just rewatched the movie, and I noticed that Hikari Mitsushima is a very different from her character. What a great performance!
She's like this sweet little girl and her role was like a polar opposite of her true personality. She seems very fragile too. A great actress in my opinion
shes great in the lil bit of hair extensions too, idk if you got to that yet, but she even had to act out that she was smoking and i was like "oh she smokes" nope the behind the scenes she says it was weird lol

huh. this songs on two movies it seems..? Either way, I think this song goes better with this 80's Japanese movie called "The Man who Stole the Sun" /watch?v=lr7i5r9a6R4&feature=related Seems to fit much better in the whole 80's thing. imo But then again I havent seen this move Love Exposure. Looks kinda interesting. Than again what Japanese film isnt.
I've seen that this comment is 8 years old, so I suppose you've watched it already, but I'll write this anyways. Love Exposure with 4-hour length of perfect rhythm and bait-n-catch kind of structure never let you get off from the story, it is probably the most rewatchable film ever made. How it gets you to care about the characters, and the tenderness of some points, the deeply depression on other points, it's written majestically. Then you see the aesthetics, so Japanese 2000s pop culture, inside a beautiful French-film like script, with some goofy Japanese irony, of course. And also I see it as a tribute for 80s and 90s pink eigas, in the low budget approach that makes it absolutely unique in style. If you see the older Sono films, you kind of understand that everything was leading to this masterpiece. This is the ultimate japanese film.
Grazie

I've never seen a movie like this. it's not a true story but Wow!!! 🖤 🖤
It's partially true. Sion Sono's friend actually was hentai and did save someone from a cult (you can read it in his interview with a US magazine)

Appena visto..
