MTW PTS magazines don't have the little ramp on the back spine if you compare it to the regular mtw mags. Unsure why this is the case, my gun is a gen3 billet Unleashed

The newer models have the different feed tube I think.

the velcro trick you talked about for making the mag sit properly can you elaborate how someone would do this if they have never done it before. thx in advance

Sure thing, it’s kinda an old trick when Airsoft rifles and mags weren’t spec’d to a general size. I remember having G&Gs that wouldn’t feed EF $10 midcaps without the Velcro trick. Ultimately we’re making it so that the mags can align with the hopup correctly for consistent feeding. You’ll take either soft side or hook side and apply that to the back of the mag well, the lower the better I’ve found so it pushes the magazine forward and that most often assists with aligning the mag to the hopup for smooth feeding. Most current Airsoft rifles are good about it, it’s kinda rare now that that’s an issue.

Thank you very much for this, I couldn't find any other vids testing the PTS-MTW mags. I have the EPM1 mags but as you had said in the vid there are feeding issues with my MTW Forged as well. The full auto feeds only on the lowest dwell/ROF settings but any settings higher the full auto doesn't feed. To clarify what you said in your vid, so the PTS-MTW feed completely fine then on full auto on any Dwell/ROF settings? Would you recommend the MTW proprietary magazines or the new PTS-MTW mag as of now?

I have not done any testing with dwell/rof, whatever the rifles were set to when I grabbed was what they were. Dwell testing is a good point but as of rn I’d use standard EPM mags if you have them already. If you’re getting brand new mags and you like the empty mag system then I think the EPM-MTW mags are awesome

21:52 Don't drop the mag at all, just use a retractor tether for the empty mag! 😁

Get a bunch of those keycard leashes for all the mags you’ve got so they’ll just zip against your body

@@TalonMeyer That would work. I use just one custom built retractor & 3D printed endcaps with swift clips so I can just have the active mag tethered. I let it drop, reload, then swap the clip to the new mag when it's convenient.
