When you were talking about the floor of the greenhouse I wish you had actually shown it! I kept saying "point the camera at the floor so we can see it", but you didn't!! Love your videos.
Love all your Videos Shaye your a real inspiration to me with Gardening, cooking and homemaking your book Welcome to the farm arrived yesterday and it's as good as I imagined it would be it will be one I go back to time and time again I know!
I LOVE how this floor in the greenhouse turned out. It was modeled after some brick patterns seen in Monty Don's gardens. I hope you enjoy seeing the spring progress!
@@lilyelizabethstevenson8613 I agree. I always get excited and then during tours nothing is shown that's described. I'm always bummed. I still come back to watch the videos because I like the family, it just seems like Clickbait always.
Great video as always! Charles Dowding! I love all of the side by side experiments he does.. I like to bottom water. Even though it takes a little more work, the top dries out first, causing the roots to have to go down deeper for water (therefore having larger stronger roots) & it doesn't dislodge any seeds or seedlings up out of the soil...
Your videos bring me such joy! I wonder if you all will observe the biblical season of Shmita; the year of not reaping any crops of the ground. It begins in September and is known as a holy time to honor the LORD(in Leviticus). It occurs every 7th year and is referred to as the Sabbath year for the grounds, the year of rest. After the year passes, there is a great bounty and overflow of blessings for 49 years that He promises. So excited to see what is in store for the Elliott family ❤️
Yes I do the CD method too. I have 5 new beds and coverting the rest to his method. I had an amazing garden last year. I just planted multisown beets and snow peas here. I live in a snowbelt, so I do have hoops with frost blankets too. I just found you 1 day ago.
Great video! People love to do farming for different reasons; to some, it is a job, and to others, it’s a relaxing hobby. We actually sell properties that can be used as farms. This info is helpful for those who like to spend time away from the city.
I love how much you get to engage with your daughter! ❤️ Have you considered learning Spanish as another way to strengthen your bond? We would love to partner with you!
Opposite season here but have started our brassicas using Charles’ methods of multi- sowing too, as well as beets and radish! I’m excited to see how they go! Good luck with yours, too!
Italy 🇮🇹 will be for you guys an educational. Food is out of this world. Been to Italy on many occasions. Will not give too much away. You guys need to explore the wonders of Italy 🇮🇹 do well planning your growing period in your shed. Thanks for sharing another inspiring video ❤
I’ve been obsessed with Charles dowding and the no dig method since you mentioned him! So excited to see what my small plot will yield with the use of the no dig method. X
You are going to love the Piedmont region of northern Italy. It is a very picturesque place. My Dad and his family are from Fubine in the Piedmont region and I have 1st and 2nd cousins who still live there.
I’m just working on my seed starting video too! I’m zone 4 so a bit behind you. I’m also going to try Charles’ multi-sow this year. Thanks for the video!
Could you do a video on this "she shed" I am looking on doing a potting/greehouse this spring? We live in a snow belt, I need outside living and I love the look of yours. Did you build it, was it already there? I love your videos and the freedom you display on being yourself and enjoying your life. I homeschooled too, we made it and are all done ;-)
Isn't that a coincidence? For the last three weeks I've been filling my last few free minutes of day learning Spanish through similar app - while cooking etc☺ pretty days🌞🌞
I had the best luck with Baker Creek seeds. Received my order in just over a week and they were only sold out of two items on my list. Also, free shipping.
Question:. Is this the she shed finished out and repurposed for a seed starting greenhouse? Your she shed concept was very inspirational in the evolution of my garden room, so I was disappointed to see that it didn't pass the test of time?
I wonder why you decided not to grow inside your greenhouse anymore? We live in Germany, zone 7b, and we harvest all sorts of salads, radicchios, endives, kale, kohlrabis, radishes, coriander etc. from our greenhouse (no heating) all through the winter. We just had a two-week period of snow with down to -4 °F and everything was fine. 🥶 In the summer there are tomatoes, cucumbers and melons in it.
So excited you will be going to Piedmont! I actually live near Turin and attend the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo. I’m dying to know what you will be doing the area- I see you have the new Old World Italian Cook book by Mimi, will you be doing something in Turin? So exciting! Perhaps we can have you out the the University in Pollenzo! Best Wishes in this exciting time, Karen
I spent half my life in Arlington, WA. I am assuming you are in the middle of the state where it is hot and dry. Great green house garden ideas. Blessings
I hope you know that each veg has a different minimum number of members it needs for viable seed saving? Carrots are like 50 plants to dispel inbreeding, but peas are practically incapable of inbreeding without human intervention. Different species have different requirements.
I’m always so happy to see a new video. BUT it’s so frustrating to not see what you’re talking about. Show us the floor, the pavers, the mess. Whatever you’re talking about.
I think you might be overwatering. Those trays look too heavy & soaked in my opinion. I would remove the covers for a few days & let the soil naturally aspirate. Once it dries out a bit water from below by just filling the trays with 3/8"-1/2" every so often.
O have a few ladies I clean for they were supposed to go to Italy last but covid they called them the company in Italy said we have to cancel yall no one can come most of Italy don't want people in but maybe it has changed now
This is not agianst you...I love your work. I hate that Babel and other companys use names like that to mock our lord God...and it quite obvious what they are doing once you have eyes to see and ears to hear. So excited for the garden this year my heart can hardly contain it and my mouth is having trouble talking about anything else but the garden haha. God bless!
If you aren't being honest about the advertising you plug, what else are you not being honest about? Ya know, we peeps on RUclips notice discrepencies when we follow a channel. It's pretty clear you are getting paid to plug something you aren't really using. How about that for Christian values? Also, if you really want to learn Italian, go with Duo Lingo. The app is free and you'll learn 5+ words a day in just twenty minutes. But I don't think you are necessarily being honest that you want to learn Italian anyway. It is a good idea because Italians are usually pretty rough with their English. Come on Shea you are better than this! Or are you.
I assume you will or have already been vaccinated to travel....if not, I hope you will reconsider the jab......I mean REALLY REALLY CONSIDER the consequences.......God bless.....Maranatha!!!
Love your channel, and I get that you're beautiful and Stuart wants to train the cam on you, but... when you're describing a plant, or a floor, or anything...it would be great to actually see it. Not everyone has 20/20 vision. I've watched 25 vids, and mostly what I see is you. I'm legally blind in one eye, and you show the flowers from 15 feet away, I can't see them. You talk about certain things, but don't show them. I hear about a floor, but am seeing you or a wall. I hear about a cabinet, but am seeing you sitting at a table.
I am one of the people that feels frustrated when they're discussing something but don't show it during that time, a lot of the times I don't watch it to the end because of that. I don't think it's really a complaint, more of a suggestion because people feel frustrated as it happens quite a bit. We all stick around though because we enjoy them. I think friendly suggestions for all of us in life are good things. 😊
When you were talking about the floor of the greenhouse I wish you had actually shown it! I kept saying "point the camera at the floor so we can see it", but you didn't!! Love your videos.
They do show it at the end
Young apartment dweller here who is always inspired by your life and hardwork! Can't wait to have yard space to have a garden of my own someday.
Love all your Videos Shaye your a real inspiration to me with Gardening, cooking and homemaking your book Welcome to the farm arrived yesterday and it's as good as I imagined it would be it will be one I go back to time and time again I know!

"Let me start that again..."
Next time could you show us a clip of the floor when you talk about it? Would love to see it as you describe it! :)

The Charles Dowding method has been such a lifesaver for me! So much easier with those teeny seeds and the organization of plucking out is just 👏🏼

Excellent idea to plant just for saving the seeds. Thanks
I love how much you get to engage with your daughter! ❤️

The floor looks great! And I just love to see everyone’s seed starting methods. You sure have a cute helper! ☺️💚

I’m so pumped to try the Charles method this year! Thanks to you for introducing it to all of us 😍
Love the way you guys involve your kids. Great education 👏👌
So fun to see all your seedlings! It's an exciting time of the year for the garden.

Can we follow you all the way through the garden this year? I would love to see every step of the way start to finish 💜
Good luck with your seed-provider garden!

I find it best to direct sow root crops, allium and arugula.
Thanks for sharing. Cheers

I wish you had shown the floor that you were talking about earlier in the video.
If you watch the whole video you will see the new greenhouse floor.
Really impressed with your videography, you are very talented!
Wow, you got your own espresso machine. How great.
I had the best luck with Baker Creek seeds. Received my order in just over a week and they were only sold out of two items on my list. Also, free shipping.
I hope one day I will LOVE to have a greenhouse CONGRATS to YOU Shade beautiful Xoxo
great Video, love all your Videos, such a sweet family...

I like your videos!
Please tell us where you got the coffee grinder!
Your videos inspired me to do my own seeds and no dig this year too
I spent half my life in Arlington, WA. I am assuming you are in the middle of the state where it is hot and dry. Great green house garden ideas. Blessings
I love your coffee grinder. Where did you get it?
It's a ROK grinder. They're really nice.
nice greenhouse love the floor
Good videos
What is the material your walls are made of? I think I’ve seen that as a roof and would like to use it as a roof for a porch I’m having built
It’s just Greenhouse plastic from Lowe’s.
Labai gera pagalbininkė, sėkmės 😀
I hope you know that each veg has a different minimum number of members it needs for viable seed saving? Carrots are like 50 plants to dispel inbreeding, but peas are practically incapable of inbreeding without human intervention. Different species have different requirements.
That’s interesting! I’d never heard that!
What kind of decor did you do to your house
Is it french or english?😊🙏

Everyone complaining about not seeing the brick floor obviously didn’t watch to the end 🙄

Yes but she was literally doing all the talking about it at the beginning. I'm not sure why they didnt show it then.
