JHS used to have a brick and mortar shop where they sold they're own pedals and used gear. I bought my first 'boutique' pedal there in 2012 - a used Sparkle Drive, still have it, though I don't use it anymore, since I have the deco and the sunset.
I installed an EMG SPC midboost in my strat and it gives a nice midrange tone - not only on the bridge pickup, but also on the neck pickup. To my, this is an easy solution.
I recently was trying to figure out how to record a pop punk sound with my strat and my Iridium, and I ended up adding a boost and a tube screamer and getting pretty close to what you got! I did end up buying a guitar with a humbucker though, haha.
Awesome video man! Bringing back the 90s Epitaph records sound, oh yeah so nostalgic! (Note to youtube: I have not essentially listened to any of this type of stuff since 2001 or so, so please don't get offended if indeed the newer generations of this sound sound like this; long live the punk and all that stuff, but most of all love and peace)
You make it so inspiring! Now gotta get home and drive my iridium, ep boost, and Strat into some of this!
Yeah dude!!
The OG Sparkle Drive was one of my first "nice" pedals way back in the day. Great video, man!
Same here! Literally my first "nice" pedal after I heard that John Mayer used it! Haha

Very cool! Beefiness!
Beast! I think i actually prefer the single coil tone. More clarity and more harmonics. Really cool stuff.
Thank you for watching. Strats can get heavy right? Cheers!

That track brings me back to Victory Gins days!
BFFU!
Great content!
Thank you for watching!
I use my ODR to get a humbucker-like sound from my strat. This is also a great tip :)
Ah nice! I wanna get my hands on an ODR!
Can you do the opposite with les paul? 🤔
Yes! I'll do a video on it!
Don't forget, a Strat tuned to E flat is a happy Strat!
For sure! In fact I should do a test on that
