Made a batch and was delicious! Add some to mayo and made a peri peri mayo dipping sauce for my fries! Thank you so much, sending love from New Zealand!
Love it! Please, let me know how much you love the recipe once you made it. And share with friends and family. Don’t eat it all yourself you’ll be on fire 🔥 🤣 thanks for subscribing you donkey✌️❤️
I dont know where that name peri peri came from, but its really called piri piri, its a portuguese hot sauce, brought from Africa, although I am sure your sauce tastes great.
@Chef-donkey Great recipe. I’m not sure why but the recipe that shows in the description is for lentil burgers and buns. Is there another place I can look for the written Piri Piri sauce recipe? 🙏🏽
OMG! Thanks so much for watching and pointing this out to me! RUclips has recently had a glitch with descriptions and warned all content creators about it. I honestly thought all mine was fine but here you go. I’ve added a link to the full recipe. Really sorry about this and thanks again. ✌️❤️
Hi The vinegar and the sugar in the sauce will preserve it. It can keep up to a month as long as you keep it covered and in the refrigerated. Thanks for watching ✌️❤️
Sear in pan - skin side down. Sear flesh side and turn down to medium heat. Cover with lid and let it cook slow through. Made sure to check it does not burn. Check one piece if it’s cooked through then pour a generous amount of peri peri sauce in the pan and glaze till the sauce sticks to the chicken. It’s a nice way of doing it as you get a more concerted flavour of peri peri sauce. So, to answer your question, YES 😀 Thanks for watching ✌️❤️
Thanks for your feedback. The funny thing is everything should be lightly cooked! Did you use extra virgin olive oil? That can make it bitter. But it should be a fruity sauce (still taste the integrity of the veggies) rather than a slow cooked tomato sauce.
@@Chef-donkey I didn't use extra virgin olive oil, it still has a good taste but very different from what we use to in South Africa. I guess the chili choice could gave changed it as I didn't use birds eye chili.
Firstly, thanks for pointing this out. I am really sorry for inconvenience. The website its on is currently under construction. I have listed the ingredients in the description. Thanks for watching
Very good question. When you blend a purée or sauce at a very high speed, you blend a lot of air into it. So those micro pockets of air make the sauce to appear lighter in colour. If I was to cook after blending it or compress the sauce in a vacuum in will extract the air and it will go back to a darker colour. Hope that helps and answers your question. Thanks for watching✌️❤️

It’s a South African pronunciation of the fruit which later became a spelling.

Any alternative to red bell pepper?
The red bell pepper is just so I use less chilli pepper to mellow the heat down. You can use one more tomato instead and 1 more
Chilli pepper.
When will you make kapana and owambo pap 😋
I’m guessing that is Namibian? Tell me what it is and I’ll make it when I make Namibian food
How to extend the shelf life ?

Hi @Chef donkey. Can you use this sauce just as a dipping sauce?
Yes, it’s an all round sauce. Good for marinade and just as a dip.
It is midium or more spicy?
It’s between mild and medium. Not very spicy at all. My kids can tolerate it. Thanks for watching
Faab
You’re fab! Thanks for watching ✌️❤️
Tried it, although I cooked the veggies well it still had a raw taste.
